The China Billiards Association announced on its official WeChat account on the 21st that it will impose penalties on Chinese players who violate the Code of Conduct of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.
The Chinese Billiards Association pointed out that 10 Chinese professional snooker players violated the WPBSA Code of Conduct by manipulating game results during their participation in the World Professional Billie and Snooker Association's World Professional Snooker Tournament. On June 7, Beijing time, WPBSA announced the punishment decision for these 10 players. In order to uphold discipline and learn from past mistakes, the China Billiards Association has imposed the following penalties on these 10 players in accordance with the Sports Law of the People's Republic of China, Articles 22 and 32 of the Management Regulations of the Professional Players Committee of the China Billiards Association, and Articles 5, 7, and 10 of the Disciplinary Rules and Punishment Regulations of the China Billiards Association:
The 1. imposed a lifetime ban on Liang Wenbo and Li Hing, prohibiting them from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
2. suspended Luning for eight years until December 6, 2030. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
3. banned Yan Bingtao for seven years and six months until May 11, 2030. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
4., Chen Zifan was suspended for five years until December 20, 2027. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
5. suspended Zhang for four years and five months until May 1, 2027. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
6. imposed a four-year ban on Blanin until December 6, 2026. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
7. Zhao Xintong was suspended for two years and six months until July 1, 2025. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
8., Zhao Jianbo was suspended for 2 years and 4 months until April 7, 2025. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
9., Chang Bingyu was suspended for two years until December 7, 2024. During the ban period, they are prohibited from participating in all billiards events and activities in mainland China in any form and in any capacity.
