China Airlines: The passenger was taken away by the aviation police, and a Japanese woman lost control of safety due to not speaking Japanese by the flight attendant. | Passenger | Flight attendant
According to Taiwanese media reports, on the morning of June 4th, a Chinese flight from Fukuoka to Taoyuan Airport in Japan, with passengers boarding and cabin doors closed, caused a Japanese female passenger to lose control and roar angrily due to dissatisfaction with the flight attendant not speaking Japanese to her. Due to the airline having issued a warning to the female passenger but the warning was ineffective, and considering flight safety, it was ultimately requested that the passenger disembark and report to the local airport aviation police for handling.
According to reports, the Japanese passenger had an argument with the flight attendant. Although the flight attendant kept comforting him, the passenger still roared loudly. The reason for the conflict was that the passenger was dissatisfied with the flight attendant talking to her in Chinese and saying, "This is Japan, we need to use Japanese." As a result, her emotions spiraled out of control. Other passengers also stopped her, but the conflict did not end as a result.
The flight was originally scheduled to depart from Fukuoka, Japan at 10:50 and arrive at Taipei Taoyuan Airport at 12:30. However, due to the disturbance caused by the Japanese passenger, the flight was delayed for nearly 40 minutes. Later, the passenger was taken away by the Japanese aviation police.
A passenger on the flight said that the flight attendants were still very friendly and wanted to talk to her, and her behavior also made many passengers dissatisfied. There were also passengers talking to her, and some passengers reported to the flight attendant that they did not want to board the plane with her.
In response, China Airlines stated that after the cabin door was closed, one passenger exhibited irrational behavior, insulted the flight attendant and roared at other passengers, and did not comply with onboard safety regulations. After communication with the crew and warnings being ineffective, in order to maintain flight safety and the rights of passengers on the same plane, the company requires the passenger to disembark and reports to the local airport aviation police for handling.
The incident has also sparked discussions online, with some Taiwanese netizens stating that "the handling method is too gentle. In Europe and America, aviation police will not waste time directly suppressing people and inviting them off the plane", "blacklisted them to regret their actions for a lifetime", and "don't think that Japanese people will be very polite".
