Anren Ancient Town has a long history, located in Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, with a core scenic area of 3 square kilometers.
Anren Ancient Town, with the meaning of "Renzhe Anren", is the only tourist town in China characterized by museums. It has a history of over a thousand years since the Tang Dynasty. Known as the "Chinese Museum Town", it has the largest folk museum settlement in China - the Jianchuan Museum settlement, with 27 husband's halls, 63 modern museum venues, 16 cultural heritage units, over 10 million collections, and 3655 national first-class cultural relics in China.
Anren Ancient Town also has a well-known key cultural relic protection unit in China - Liu's Manor. The manor is mainly composed of traditional brick and wood structures, absorbing typical Western castle and church architectural features, combining Chinese and Western styles, and exquisitely carved. The Liu Family Manor Museum was built in October 1958, formerly known as the Dayi Landlord Manor Exhibition Hall. It is a museum that showcases modern folk architecture and rural manor architecture in western Sichuan, China, and reproduces scenes of people's lives in the late Qing and early Republic of China.
As the only ancient town around Chengdu with theatrical elements, Anren Ancient Town has the Anren Theater, which has been passed down for a century and is still performing Sichuan Opera. In order to welcome the grand event and immerse tourists in the youthful atmosphere of the Universiade, Anren Ancient Town has also staged a segment of the first national fitness inspirational musical "Chasing Stars" that "Love Chengdu and Welcome the Universiade".
