"The confidence of cinema audiences is what we give them. Some movies have grand promotion, but the audience feels cheated time and time again. Chen Daoming pointed out that audiences love watching movies, and even in the era of streaming media, watching movies in theaters is an irreplaceable way. As filmmakers, we must protect this trust. Before creating a movie, it is necessary to consider how to ensure the quality of the movie, the relationship between the movie and the audience, the relationship between the movie and life, the literary, artistic, social, and philosophical aspects of the movie itself, and the influence of the movie. "A movie may come out and make money, but how long can it survive in the field of art? Thinking about whether a movie can become a classic in history, how can we idealize life, and then idealize life? This process of implementation is the creation itself."
On that day, from the perspective of enhancing the international dissemination and influence of Chinese films, Yin Hong, Vice Chairman of the China Film Association and Professor of the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University, stated in a speech that although domestic film box office records continue to be broken, the best overseas box office performance of Chinese language films is still maintained by the 210 million US dollars of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" in 2000, and the 150 million US dollars international market performance of the 2002 domestic film "Hero" has not been broken by domestic films for 20 years. Compared with the tremendous achievements in the development of Chinese cinema, the international dissemination and influence of Chinese cinema have not yet reached the depth, breadth, and intensity that people expect. Because most of the top 20 global box office films are non Chinese, their overseas box office far exceeds that of the domestic market.
"In this sense, Chinese films are currently mainly aimed at the domestic demand market, and there is still huge development space for overseas and international dissemination," said Yin Hong.
