According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, my country's imports and exports to other RCEP member countries were 5.11 trillion billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.5 percent, and trade with other RCEP member countries accounted for more than 30% of my country's foreign trade.
Starting from June 2nd, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement will come into full force for 15 member countries, marking a new phase of comprehensive implementation for the world's largest free trade zone, bringing more business opportunities and benefits to enterprises. From January to May, Nanjing Customs issued a total of 42400 RCEP certificates of origin, with an export value of 13.303 billion yuan, an increase of 56.52% and 20.54% year-on-year, respectively. It is expected that enterprises can enjoy a tariff preferential treatment of 199 million yuan in the destination country. In the first half of the year, Dongguan Customs, under the jurisdiction of Huangpu Customs, issued a total of 7691 RCEP certificates, with a value of 1.653 billion yuan for preferential goods, an increase of 72.9% and 38.6% year-on-year, respectively. Enterprises are expected to enjoy tariff preferential treatment exceeding 10.66 million yuan.
The relevant person in charge of the General Administration of Customs stated that they will resolutely carry out the deployment of RCEP implementation work, further play the role of the agreement in stabilizing foreign trade and foreign investment, promoting industrial and supply chain cooperation, and promoting high-quality development, guiding enterprises to fully understand and make good use of the policy benefits of RCEP, and helping enterprises further explore the RCEP market.
