There were a total of 8 people on board in the accident, of which 5 died unfortunately, and the remaining 3 are being treated in the hospital.

The video shows a car falling and rolling multiple times on a cliff facing the water, before finally falling into the water. Some netizens claimed that the incident occurred in Leibo County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
On July 16th, Jimu News reporters learned through interviews that the river in the video is the Jinsha River. On July 14th, the location where the vehicle crashed was on the south bank of the Jinsha River, belonging to Kahalo Township, Leibo County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province. The opposite bank was Huanghua Town, Yongshan County, Yunnan Province.
The owner of a Linjiang Inn in Huanghua Town, Yongshan County, Yunnan Province, told Jimu News reporters that the incident occurred on the opposite bank of their store. On the morning of the 14th, she was drying bed sheets on the rooftop when she saw an ambulance heading for rescue. On the same day, a crane was also salvaging a submerged vehicle in the river. "The people on the car were all from Leibo County on the opposite bank. When the vehicle rolled over, passengers were thrown out of the car."
A villager from Huohuodi Village, Kahalo Township, Leibo County, Sichuan Province told Jimu News that there were a total of 8 people on board at the time, of which 5 unfortunately died, and the remaining 3 children were still being treated in the hospital, including his neighbor.

Mr. Deng, the family member of the deceased, told Jimu News reporters that among the 8 people in the car, there are 4 adults and 4 children. Among them, 2 adults and 4 children are his relatives, and the other 2 adults are the driver's spouse and also local residents of Leibo County. At present, 4 adults and 1 child have unfortunately died, and the remaining 3 children are still being treated in hospitals. Among them, 2 are seriously injured and have been sent to hospitals in Yibin, Sichuan for treatment.
"There are three living children, one is my brother's daughter, who is around 12 years old this year. One is my sister's daughter, who is around 5 years old this year. There is also one is my brother's son, who is only 2 years old this year. Two of the girls are seriously injured, and the boy's injury is slightly mild. He has already spent tens of thousands of yuan on treatment." Mr. Deng said that medical expenses and burial expenses are not small expenses, and the family is borrowing money everywhere. "The owner of the car in the accident is the driver and his wife, but they have all died, and there are still a few children in their family."
According to Mr. Deng, the cliff is steep and there is a significant drop between the mountain road and the water surface of the Jinsha River. It is not clear what caused the vehicle to fall off the cliff, and the traffic police have not yet issued a certificate of accident responsibility.
