The Chicago police said that the case occurred shortly after 2am on the same day, when a suspect drove on West Washington Street in West Garfield Park and fired multiple shots, causing a 40 year old woman to die after being taken to the hospital. Additionally, four people aged between 38 and 42 were taken to the hospital for treatment due to gunshot injuries. At present, the suspect is still at large.
The police stated that according to information provided by one of the injured individuals, the suspect was in the car at the time of the incident, but the specific information of the vehicle involved needs to be further confirmed. The sub bureau responsible for the area has dispatched detectives to investigate.
