Discovering coal mines is not just about being "black"

Purple Wisdom. What is a smart mine? This is a complex system that gathers multi-disciplinary, multi thematic, and multi-dimensional spatial information. The "Smart Mine" built by the Datang Longwanggou Coal Mine in Zhungeer Banner has achieved unmanned operation in 18 fixed underground locations. The labor quota of the mine has decreased by more than 1000 people compared to the initial design, accounting for 56% of the total number of people in the initial design. Smart mines can also intelligently adjust the frequency conversion of electricity required for coal mining, effectively reducing energy consumption by up to 30%. In smart mines, the popularization of mechanization has made mining no longer a purely manual task. Intelligent equipment is the foundation for safe and efficient mining. Longwanggou Coal Mine continuously optimizes and improves the application of new equipment and processes, innovatively creates the latest intelligent equipment, and safeguards the safe and efficient production of the mine.

Blue innovation. In July 2020, Datang Longwanggou Coal Mine innovatively established the first intelligent mining talent team independently formed by an enterprise in China - the Smart Alliance. Since the establishment of the alliance, the work goals of "safety and efficiency" have been determined, and the work ideas of "centralized control becoming monitoring, automatic becoming active, intelligent becoming intelligent, and human management becoming machine management" have been consolidated. The work principles of "practicality, practicality, and effectiveness" have been established, and multiple key technologies for smart mining have been promoted and applied in incubation scenarios. Through continuous innovation and practice, the Smart Alliance has provided a reference for the cultivation of intelligent talents nationwide, provided a model for the independent research and development of high-precision and cutting-edge technologies in smart mines, and comprehensively improved the level of "technology promoting safety" construction in mines.

White and clean. The coal industry, which people remember as "silly, big, black, and rough", is accelerating towards intelligence. In the dispatch room, operators are dressed uniformly, and with a light click of the mouse, the comprehensive mining equipment such as the coal mining machine, belt conveyor, and transfer machine, which are hundreds of meters deep, are running one after another. As various data changes on the monitoring screen, the "black gold" rolls towards the ground, and the entire process is human-machine separation, safe and efficient.

Red original intention. The people of Longwanggou Coal Mine have always been moving forward with the cause of the Party and the country, guided by the Party's policies, closely following the national strategic call, practicing the concept of "safety first, advancing with intelligence", making every effort to build smart mines, adhering to building a national first-class smart mining benchmark, and becoming a safe, green, innovative, efficient, coordinated, and shared "six types" first-class coal enterprise. Under the mine, frontline employees never forget their original intention, stick to their posts, and the gray coal dust on their faces and clothes is the mark of work and the color of fighters.

Orange safety. Before entering the well, each staff member must wear clothing that meets the requirements, check that the rubber boots are not broken or leaking, and all personnel entering the well must carry personnel positioning cards, self rescue devices, and mining lamps with them. They must also wear towels and safety helmets correctly. Standardized management ensures the safety of every employee, and "safety" is a warning engraved in the minds of every miner. Since the joint trial operation of the mine on June 30, 2019, safety production has been achieved for 1486 days.

Black base. The "black" in Inner Mongolia originates from the gifts of nature. As an important energy and strategic resource base in China, Inner Mongolia is actively exploring the transformation and development of the coal industry, effectively playing the role of a "ballast stone" for energy supply, which is of great significance for ensuring national energy security and helping to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.

Green and low-carbon. "Transit to rail" to achieve low-carbon transportation of coal. At the beginning of 2023, the railway transportation of Datang Longwanggou Coal Mine was officially opened, which is the first underground loading electrified operation railway in China. Based on an annual production of 15 million tons of coal, Datang Longwanggou Coal Mine can reduce the transportation cost of over 1000 33 ton heavy-duty trucks per day, as well as the energy consumption and exhaust emissions generated by their long-distance transportation.
