Bringing Cleanliness and Dignity to the Disabled Elderly, Walking with the Times and Dreams Li Minhua: Assisting Bathing
China Youth Network, Beijing, August 23 (Xinhua) - "Auntie, is the water temperature appropriate?" "How do you feel? Are you comfortable?" In recent years, the elderly care service of "door-to-door assisted bathing" has entered the public eye. Professional trained staff provide door-to-door assisted bathing services for disabled elderly people, fulfilling their desire to "just take a good shower.".
"Taking a hot bath, feeling comfortable and relieving fatigue, is a common occurrence for many people, but it is even more difficult for disabled elderly people," said Li Minhua.
Li Minhua has been bedridden for half a year due to a fracture in her elderly family. She has tried many ways to give the elderly a bath, but none of them have been successful. She later learned that in foreign countries, providing door-to-door assisted bathing services for disabled elderly people had already formed a scale. In 2021, Li Minhua, who graduated with a Master's degree from Renmin University of China, and her colleagues founded the first company in Beijing to provide assisted bathing services for disabled elderly people. The company has chosen the "door-to-door assisted bathing" track to provide bathing services for disabled and semi disabled elderly people, as well as comfort and comfort to their spiritual world, helping them regain their dignity and hope in life. In the process of providing assisted bathing services, she felt that the classification of the elderly care industry was constantly being refined. For her, innovation comes from her own personal experience, and the process of helping others is also a process of self-healing.
