BRICS has become a "key platform" to solve global security issues. BRICS countries and the world
Reference News Network reported on July 26 that according to a report by the Latin American News Agency on July 25, South Africa's Minister of the Presidential Office Kubuzo Ntshaveni stated on the 25th that South Africa regards the BRICS countries as important strategic partners. A just, peaceful and fairer world order can be achieved through partnership with the BRICS countries.
At the BRICS High Representative Conference on Security Affairs held in Johannesburg, Entshaveni emphasized that as an African country, South Africa firmly believes in the need to promote peace and sustainable development.
She said that South Africa remains firmly committed to multilateral diplomacy in principle and visible actions, especially through close cooperation within the BRICS cooperation mechanism.
Entshaveni also emphasized that many countries still face various challenges to national security and sovereignty.
Meanwhile, she warned that important and influential state and non-state actors are currently operating secret intelligence networks to destabilize countries that do not share their views on the world.
She emphasized that only by working together can countries ensure national sovereignty.
In addition, according to the report of Russian Sputnik News Agency on July 25, Nikolay Patrushev, Secretary of the Security Conference of the Russian Federation, said at the meeting of BRICS High Representatives for Security Affairs in Johannesburg that as a key platform for fair dialogue and collective search for solutions to global security problems, BRICS countries can play a leading role in setting the global development agenda.
Patrushchev said, "We view the BRICS countries as a key platform for equal dialogue and collective search for solutions to global security issues. I firmly believe that it is our coalition that can take the lead in further shaping inclusive multilateralism and setting the global development agenda."
He pointed out that the crisis in the world system not only brings risks, but also opportunities. More and more countries and people are regaining their national self-awareness and choosing an independent and autonomous path based on their own development and constructive cooperation.
In addition, according to a report on the website of Rossiyskaya Gazeta on July 25, Petrochev said that the western collective has been shaking the internal situation of the BRICS countries for many years.
He said that Western countries are trying to establish their own order in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and former Soviet Union regions. They deliberately provoke conflicts between races, religions, and nations in all of the aforementioned regions.
Patrushchev pointed out, "These actions all have an obvious purpose - to reshape the system of inter state relations according to one's own will."
He said that everyone confirms that new centers of power are emerging in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. He believes that the current world is undergoing significant changes, and it is not an exaggeration to say that what is determined now is the order of the future world.
Patrushchev said, "The Western civilization model - essentially consumerism - is becoming a thing of the past. For many years, Western prosperity has been built on the sacrifices of other countries: extracting resources that belong to these countries and completely ignoring their interests."
He believes that unlike the US led NATO, the BRICS countries can play an important stabilizing role in international relations.
