Our hospital's medical examination fees are also gradually decreasing compared to before, and patients will spend less when seeking medical treatment."

At Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, this domestically developed nuclear magnetic resonance instrument is currently in operation. The working condition of the instrument is transmitted to the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Advanced Technology Research Institute 15 kilometers away in real time.

An MRI machine with low resolution cannot identify the specific location of the lesion. But on the image provided by this high-resolution MRI, the location of the tumor can be clearly seen.

The reporter learned that this instrument can obtain full body images of the human body, which not only has higher resolution but also accelerates imaging speed.

Li Ye, Deputy Director of the Medical Engineering Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Advanced Technology Research Institute, said: "In the past, we used to take MRI pictures, one by one, and the pictures would be blurred when you moved them. Now we have fast imaging technology, we are not afraid to move, and we can see the process of its movement."

The reporter learned that in 2022, various research projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Advanced Technology Research Institute will cost more than 3.3 billion yuan, of which only 17% will be fixed funds allocated by the government, and 83% will need to be obtained through industrial cooperation and other means. That is to say, scientific research projects should be firmly bound with industrial demand from the beginning of project establishment.

Shortly after the instrument was launched, they brought clinical feedback to the research team.

The pain points in the market have become the primary target for research and development units, and the latest generation of domestically produced magnetic resonance instruments have fully met the image quality requirements proposed by hospitals.

If there is no emphasis on long-term and basic research, there will be no orders placed after research and development. This new type of research and development institution is jointly initiated by the government, universities, and the industry.
