Biden's son has been exposed multiple times for "being released and talking to his father" to assist the United States for Ukrainian energy companies | Hunter Biden | Ukraine
US President Biden and his family are currently undergoing an investigation by House Republicans into his overseas business activities. A former business partner of Biden's son Hunter Biden said that during his employment with a Ukrainian energy company, Hunter Biden had outsourced his calls to his father at key meetings, helping the company "impress customers".
According to reports from The Wall Street Journal and NBC on July 31st, during a congressional hearing that day, former business partner of Hunter Biden, Devin Archer, stated that during his employment with Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, Hunter Biden had held hands-free conversations with his father, US President Biden, at key meetings, some of which also involved the company's transactions with other countries.
Archer stated that such incidents have occurred nearly 20 times, and the conversation between Biden and his son did not involve commercial transactions. But he also stated that Hunter Biden constantly emphasized his close relationship with his father during this process, hoping to impress potential customers of the company.
James Cuomo, the chairman of the House Oversight Committee and a Republican, stated after a hearing on July 31 that Biden had previously stated that he was "unaware" of his son's business transactions and had not been involved, but Archer's testimony proved that Biden "lied to the American people.". Komo believes that President Biden himself has become the "brand" promoted by his son Hunter Biden to the world, with the aim of "making the Biden family wealthy.".
But Como's statement was opposed by Democrats. New York Democratic Representative Daniel Goldman emphasized that Archer repeatedly mentioned in his testimony that Hunter Biden did not discuss business issues during his phone call with his father. Goldman added that Biden has never changed official US policies in any way.
White House spokesperson Ian Sams also emphasized in a statement that Archer's testimony confirmed that the Biden father son conversation did not involve commercial transactions. Sams said, "Republicans in the House have been constantly promising to provide heavyweight evidence to support their absurd attack on President Biden, but they have never produced any evidence. In fact, even their own witnesses seem to be overturning their accusations."
According to previous reports from Reuters, in November 2022, shortly after the Republican Party gained control of the House of Representatives by a narrow margin, Republicans began to propose ideas to impeach Biden and subsequently launched multiple charges against Biden and his family. One of the allegations is that the leadership of Burisma, a Ukrainian company, attempted to pay $5 million each to Biden and his son in 2015 and 2016, hoping that they would help the company evade investigation. The White House immediately counterattacked this, stating that Republicans were eager to pursue Biden relentlessly, but did not care about the "real problems that the American people wanted to solve.".
