US President Biden approves Florida state of emergency declaration
On August 28th local time, US President Biden declared a state of emergency in Florida and ordered federal aid to assist in dealing with the impact of Tropical Storm Idaria on the region.
Biden authorized the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to coordinate disaster relief efforts and provide appropriate assistance to those in need.

On August 27th local time, according to CNN, the National Hurricane Center of the United States announced that tropical storm Idaria had formed near the Yucatan Strait, approximately 130 kilometers northeast of Corsumel Island in Mexico, and was moving towards Florida, USA.
On August 27, 2023 local time, tropical storm Idaria formed in the Gulf of Mexico. The meteorological bureau predicts that the storm will strengthen into a hurricane before reaching Florida later this week. The NHC stated that tropical storm Idaria has sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and may become a hurricane in the eastern Gulf of Mexico on the afternoon of the 29th local time. It will make landfall in Florida on the 30th.
