Beijing Municipal Administration of Communications: All communication in disaster stricken and disconnected villages have been reconnected to Hebei | Beijing | disconnected villages
The Beijing Municipal Administration of Communications announced on the 5th that after full efforts to repair, all communication systems in the disaster stricken villages in Beijing have been reconnected.
In the process of seizing connections, Beijing Hebei cooperation plays an important role. In the most difficult to enter areas of Qingshui Town, Zhaitang Town, and Yanyi Town in Mentougou District, the three Beijing communication industry assault teams bypassed Hebei and adopted a method of first opening individual base station equipment on foot and then following up with emergency vehicles to solve the signal communication problem; In the Nangou area of Fangshan District, Hebei operators have increased the signal strength within the Hebei border to cover the Beijing area, effectively improving the communication efficiency in the disaster stricken areas of Beijing.
In addition, Beijing's communication industry provides precise support for different disaster scenarios within the city. We will comprehensively utilize satellite phones, mobile base station vehicles, and power support vehicles, and make every effort to improve the efficiency of communication by laying optical cables, establishing mobile macro stations, and using fixed wing drones. On the 4th, a drone equipped with high-altitude base station equipment took off, achieving continuous 5G signal coverage for 6 hours in the vicinity of Wangping Town and Tanzhesi Town in Mentougou District, providing voice, SMS, and internet services to over 2000 users.
Communication is an invisible "life channel" for flood prevention and disaster relief, and the situation of communication is touching. The Beijing Municipal Administration of Communications stated that currently, except for Fangshan District, Mentougou District, and Changping District, Beijing's fixed voice service, public internet service, and mobile network service are operating normally. In the above three areas, emergency personnel are making every effort to expand the achievements of emergency communication and help the public convey safety information.
