He Shiwu is the Vice Chairman of the Dongxing E-commerce Association. As one of the earliest e-commerce companies in Dongxing City, He Shiwu witnessed the development of the local e-commerce industry: from initial online store sales, to later micro commerce, and in recent years, live streaming sales. In his view, the Dongxing e-commerce industry is still thriving. "Geography is our biggest advantage in doing live streaming sales of Southeast Asian specialty products," said He Shiwu.

According to official statistics, there are currently 2683 e-commerce enterprises in Dongxing City, including about 500 e-commerce live streaming enterprises and 45 incubated enterprises. The industry has created over 10000 job opportunities, and the main types of products sold include Vietnamese specialty foods, redwood handicrafts, rattan products, nut products, etc. From January to June this year, the e-commerce transaction volume in Dongxing City was approximately 870 million yuan.

The booming e-commerce industry has promoted the improvement of e-commerce infrastructure such as cross-border trade service systems and cross-border e-commerce platforms. According to the official introduction of Fangchenggang City, since the beginning of this year, the city has leveraged the convenient advantages of the Dongxing land transportation channel, accelerated the construction of a cross-border e-commerce public customs clearance center and a goods consolidation center, promoted the pilot of cross-border e-commerce import drug retail, introduced leading cross-border e-commerce enterprises to set up a pre warehouse for the land transportation channel facing Southeast Asia in Dongxing, and encouraged local traditional foreign trade enterprises to "go online" through the internet. At the same time, we will accelerate the construction of cross-border e-commerce pilot zones, establish an international express supervision center, and focus on building a comprehensive cross-border trade support service system.
