According to the website of the Graduate School of Shenyang University of Technology, on June 15th, the Graduate School of Shenyang University of Technology issued a statement on the cancellation of the Master's degree scholarship for new students. After deliberation at the 14th President's Office Meeting in 2023, it was decided to cancel the Master's degree scholarship for new students starting from the 2024 enrollment cycle and abolish the Implementation Measures for the Master's degree scholarship for new students at Shenyang University of Technology.

Document No. 56 of Shenyang Institute of Technology [2022] was issued on June 29, 2022, and will be implemented from the enrollment of 2023 graduate students in the autumn semester of 2023. According to the regulations, the scope of the scholarship for new master's students is: full-time first-year master's students who have been admitted to Shenyang University of Technology and obtained academic status, and all three subjects of mathematics, foreign languages, and politics have participated in the national unified master's student examination, excluding graduate students who have targeted employment, exceptional admission, and retained admission qualifications.

Among them, the special prize: Those who voluntarily apply to Shenyang University of Technology and rank in the top 10% of the total scores in the first level discipline will be rewarded with 8000 yuan;

First Prize: Outside the scope of the special prize, those who voluntarily apply to Shenyang University of Technology and rank in the top 30% of the total scores within the first level discipline will be rewarded with 4000 yuan;

Second Prize: Beyond the scope of special prize and first prize, those who voluntarily apply to Shenyang University of Technology will be rewarded with 3000 yuan;

Third Prize: Those who are admitted to Shenyang University of Technology through transfer will be rewarded with 2000 yuan;

In addition to the above awards, fresh graduates who voluntarily apply to Shenyang University of Technology and have a bachelor's degree from Shenyang University of Technology will be rewarded with 2000 yuan.

According to the website of Shenyang University of Technology, the school was founded in 1948 and was the first undergraduate military industry higher education institution established in the Northeast region to cultivate the urgently needed military industry talents in the new China. According to the "Wenzheng Sichuan" platform, some netizens have complained that on June 27, 2022, the "Evaluation Measures for Graduate Scholarships and Grants of West China Normal University" were issued, which cancelled the graduate student scholarship and clarified that "this measure will be implemented from the date of issuance". However, the 2021 enrollment brochure of West China Normal University promised to distribute new student scholarships.

Regarding this, West China Normal University replied on August 29, 2022, stating that various scholarship and scholarship programs established with financial investment from the university can be dynamically adjusted based on the annual budget situation and the implementation effectiveness of scholarship programs. Previously, some universities in Sichuan and Chongqing have also successively cancelled graduate student scholarships. According to the "Evaluation Measures for Graduate Scholarships and Scholarships at West China Normal University", starting from the 2022 level, there will be no new student scholarships or school scholarships established.

According to the website of the Student Affairs Office of Southwest University of Political Science and Law, the revised 2022 Implementation Measures for Graduate Academic Scholarships at Southwest University of Political Science and Law stipulate that graduate academic scholarships are divided into comprehensive scholarships and special scholarships, with no new student scholarships included.

Previously, the 2017 version of the Implementation Measures for Graduate Academic Scholarships at Southwest University of Political Science and Law stipulated that graduate academic scholarships were divided into new student scholarships, comprehensive scholarships, and special scholarships. Among them, the master's student scholarship for new students is divided into three levels: the first class scholarship for new students is rewarded with 12000 yuan, the second class scholarship for new students is rewarded with 8000 yuan, and the third class scholarship is rewarded with 4000 yuan.

Last year, another netizen left a message on the website of the Yantai Municipal Government in Shandong Province, inquiring whether Yantai University has cancelled the scholarship for graduate student enrollment. On April 19, 2022, the Education Bureau of Yantai City replied that in 2021, Yantai University revised the "Graduate Academic Scholarship Selection Method" and other documents, providing detailed regulations on the selection conditions, reward ratios, and standards for graduate scholarships.
