Another Hunan warrior! Jumping off a 20 meter high bridge to rescue a woman who committed suicide
"Has that woman who committed suicide been rescued?" At around 1:30 noon on June 23rd, Luo Fanchun, who was lying in bed at Zhaoqing Hospital affiliated with the Third Hospital of Sun Yat sen University, just woke up. His first sentence was still concerned about the woman who jumped off the bridge and committed suicide. He was unconscious for nearly half an hour because he jumped off the bridge to save someone.
Originally, at around noon on June 23rd, when Luo Fanchun was driving past the Jiqing Avenue Bridge behind the Zhaoqing Hospital of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat sen University, he learned that a woman in her fifties had jumped into the river and committed suicide. At that time, the woman was struggling in the water. Saving people is important! Luo Fanchun immediately jumped into the river over 20 meters high from the bridge deck to save people.
According to Luo Fanchun's recollection, the river was very deep at that time, and the woman did not cooperate with the rescue, and her weight was even heavier than Luo Fanchun's weight, making the rescue process very difficult. Soon, his physical strength began to exhaust. "The man was exhausted from rescuing the woman who committed suicide, and we promptly sent her to the hospital for treatment." Police officer Liang Liyu, who participated in the rescue, said that after a joint search and rescue by multiple departments, the woman who committed suicide was rescued at the bottom of a nearby bridge. The woman was sent to the hospital for treatment but died despite rescue efforts.
It is understood that Luo Fanchun comes from a red revolutionary family in Longhai Town, Anren County, Chenzhou City. His father, Luo Hongzhu, participated in the Anti Japanese War, Liberation War, and the Battle of Shangganling during the Korean War, and made remarkable military achievements for the country. His father taught him from a young age to love his country and family, and to help others more when he is capable.
At the age of 18, Luo Fanchun successfully rescued a child from the river in his hometown. Luo Fanchun said, "Now, that child is starting a business in Shenzhen, and he often talks to me about it. He thanks me for saving him. I am still very happy to be able to successfully save that child."
