Almost fell into "human purgatory", four minors were scammed to the Thai Myanmar border
"I thought we could get a high salary if we went there, but we almost ended up in 'human purgatory'..." On August 21st, a prosecutor from Yangxin County Prosecutor's Office in Hubei Province issued a guardianship order to Wu and his parents in person for illegally crossing the border. After hearing the prosecutor's stern warning and learning about the potential risks of illegally crossing the border, Wu said so.
Recently, the movie "All for One" has been a hit, and the various scams and persecution of victims in it are shocking. And four minors, including Wu, who lived in Baisha Town, Yangxin County, almost suffered similar persecution.
In July, four minors, including Wu, were lured by suspect Liu, who said that they could go to a company in Thailand to engage in "money laundering", with a salary of 6000 yuan at the end of each month. Usually, they played with mobile phones and computers, with good work and commission. Wu and four other minors believed it to be true and, under the arrangement and organization of Liu, illegally crossed over to the border between Thailand and Myanmar. Later, four family members reported the case to the Baisha Town Police Station. The police station filed a case on the same day and processed the criminal detention procedures for Liu, and pursued him online. On July 22, the suspect Liu was arrested.
After investigation, the "money laundering" work mentioned by Liu is actually telecommunications network fraud, and the so-called "money laundering company" is actually the "KK Park" known as the endpoint of Southeast Asian fraud and human trafficking crimes. It is said that it is the endpoint because victims of fraud, resale, and human trafficking crimes who fail to commit fraud or pay ransom as required will continue to be resold, and the endpoint of resale is the "KK Park". If they cannot be "redeemed" here, what awaits them will be the realization of certain parts of their bodies, which is truly a "human purgatory".
The Yangxin County Party Committee attaches great importance to the work of persuading the return of Myanmar to the north, and has organized several work promotion meetings with the county public security bureau and procuratorate to promote the formation of a working force. During the process of handling the case, the Yangxin County Procuratorate actively performed its duties and dispatched personnel to intervene in the case in advance, guiding the public security organs to carefully sort out the case and supplement relevant evidence. At the same time, the undertaking prosecutor strengthened the interpretation and reasoning of suspect Liu, urged him to confess his guilt and punishment, sincerely repented, and actively participated in the persuasion of four minors to return. In the end, Wu and four others were intercepted on their way to the "KK Park" and successfully retrieved from overseas.
On August 11th, Liu was transferred to the Yangxin County Procuratorate for handling the case of organizing the crime of illegally crossing the border. The court insisted on fast arrest and prosecution, and strict crackdown. On August 21, according to the law, Liu was prosecuted on suspicion of organizing illegal border crossing. It took 11 days from arrest approval to prosecution.
Although the minors involved in the case were able to escape danger, it is equally crucial to do a good job in persuading them to return and guiding them to return to the right path. According to the handling of the case, the Yangxin County Procuratorate issued supervision orders to the parents of four minors. The handling prosecutor listed real cases and provided detailed information to minors and their parents about the potential risks of illegally crossing the border. At the same time, they urged parents to take measures such as sending their children to complete their studies and strengthening family education to prevent improper contact between minors and idle individuals in society, and to create a good growth environment for the four minors. Wu and four other minors promised in person not to participate in any illegal activities such as illegally crossing the border after receiving education.
