According to the government of Wufeng County, at 20:00 on July 12th, the reporter learned from the rescue and disposal headquarters of the Wufeng "7.8" landslide disaster that after continuous rescue, one missing person discovered last night has been rescued by noon today, but no vital signs have been found. On the afternoon of the 12th, two missing individuals were rescued, but none of them had any vital signs.
In addition, the reporter learned from the medical treatment team of the command center that after the disaster on July 8th, Yichang and Wufeng made every effort to carry out the treatment and psychological counseling of the injured, coordinating the medical treatment efforts of experts at the three levels of Hubei Province, Yichang City, and Wufeng County, and implementing a "one person, one case" treatment plan. On the day of the disaster, out of the 5 injured individuals who were rescued and sent to the hospital, 4 of them improved in physical condition and were out of danger to their lives. One person unfortunately passed away despite all efforts to save them.
The relevant person in charge of the command center introduced that the scene is coordinating emergency, public security, fire and other forces, dispatching more than 330 people, carrying more than 800 sets of displacement detectors, human body search devices, life detectors and rescue professional equipment, and making every effort to search and rescue the remaining missing personnel.
To ensure rescue safety, the expert team is stationed on site 24/7, increasing safety observation posts, expanding the scope and frequency of manual inspections, and comprehensively monitoring the dynamics of the landslide mass; Strengthen epidemic prevention and disinfection and sterilization in search and rescue areas, and strictly prevent secondary disasters.
