Agricultural socialized services help harvest agricultural machinery | Services | Agriculture
On the land of northern Anhui, after the rain, the weather cleared up, and one harvester after another roared out. "I can harvest more than 150 acres a day when I see the ground and harvest wheat. It's the time to put in effort," said Zhang Yong, a farmer at the Zhengda Ecological Fruit and Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative in Linquan County, Anhui Province.
"The wheat is stored in the warehouse, and the heart is settled. More than 700 agricultural machines will harvest more than 240000 acres in three days," said Yang Zengling, the head of the cooperative. Anhui guides various social service organizations to accelerate the progress of wheat harvesting, investing over 200000 combine harvesters and achieving a wheat harvesting level of over 98.6%.
The Central Plains "granary" is seamlessly connected with harvesters and dryers, transporting wheat from the fields to the warehouse. "We have entrusted more than 500 acres of wheat and provided a 'package' service for cultivation, harvesting, and storage. This year, the wheat production capacity per acre is about 1100 kilograms," said Yun Changqing, technical director of Jindi Agricultural Machinery Professional Cooperative in Xiaohan Village, Yonghe Town, Anyang County, Henan Province.
During the summer harvest season, various agricultural socialized service organizations have shown their skills and leveraged their scale advantages to provide diversified services, including emergency harvesting and drying, cross regional operations, entrusted collection, and full custody. Faced with the continuous rainfall in the Huanghuai region, a total of 16.5 million agricultural machinery and equipment have been invested nationwide to assist in the full collection of summer grain receivables, providing strong support for ensuring national food security and effective supply of important agricultural products.
A strong management system is one of the important characteristics of an agricultural powerhouse. In the past decade of the new era, various regions and departments have adhered to promoting agricultural socialized services as the basic way and main mechanism to achieve the organic connection between small farmers and modern agricultural development. In accordance with the requirements of diverse subjects, diverse forms, professional services, and sufficient competition, they have actively cultivated various types of agricultural socialized service organizations. Data shows that there are over 1.04 million agricultural socialized service organizations in China, with a service area of over 1.87 billion acres and serving over 89 million small farmers.
——"Tian Nanmu" is constantly emerging, and socialized services are driving the transformation of the business system.
Cutting, shelling, threshing... Agricultural machinery passes by, and wheat returns to the warehouse. "In the past, wheat was harvested under the sun, sweating profusely. Now, summer harvest is handed over to cooperatives, not only ensuring quality and quantity, but also managing drying and purchasing, which is worry free and reassuring." This year, Shi Chengxing, a grain grower in Busan Village, Zhongshan Town, Jiaxiang County, Shandong Province, planted more than 600 acres of wheat, with a yield of over 900 kilograms per acre.
Farmers place orders, and "field nannies" take orders. The service provided to Shi Chengxing is the widened agricultural machinery operation service professional cooperative. "There are over 100 sets of land levelers, seeders, harvesters, and dryers, all of which are available. We provide cross regional operations, order operations, and other services. If there is something that cannot be done, something that cannot be done well, or something that is not cost-effective, it is no problem to hand it over to us," said Wang Chuansheng, the head of the cooperative. The cooperative has an annual operating area of over 80000 acres and dries tens of thousands of tons of grain.
"Small farmers in a large country are our basic national conditions and agricultural conditions, which determine that it is impossible for every household to have high investment and equipment. To build an agricultural power, it is necessary to rely on a dual level management system, develop new agricultural management entities and socialized services, form a modern agricultural management system with Chinese characteristics, effectively promote the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture, and thereby enhance the professional, standardized, and intensive level of agricultural production." said Xu Xuchu, a professor at the China Academy of Rural Development at Zhejiang University.
From the perspective of summer harvest, developing socialized agricultural services is an important strategic measure to build a modern agricultural management system. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has proposed that in the next step, it will continue to encourage and guide various professional service companies, farmer cooperatives, rural collective economic organizations, service professionals, etc. to accelerate their development, and strive to basically form an agricultural socialized service system with a reasonable organizational structure, high professional level, strong service ability, standardized service behavior, and full industry chain coverage.
——Promoting the application of new technologies and promoting standardized production through socialized services.
"This summer's harvest uses a 'new package' of agricultural machinery. While harvesting wheat, straw is crushed and returned to the field, saving labor and money. One acre of land reduces grain loss by more than 30 kilograms." Liu Shao'an, a villager from Waliu Village, Changjia Town, Qingyun County, Shandong Province, said, "When is the most suitable time to water and what fertilizer to apply to strengthen seedlings? There are detailed instructions from planting to harvesting, and we just follow along."
Online services, offline guidance, and farmers using new technologies. "From spring sowing, summer harvest, autumn harvest to winter irrigation, we have a unified 'technical package' and 'service package', and standardized production makes grain cultivation profitable," said Ma Chenghua, the person in charge of the Changjia Town Agricultural Service Center.
"The most popular summer harvest this year is the dryer. We open up the harvest, accelerate drying, and quickly reduce losses and improve quality," said Li Jianbao, the person in charge of Jinxin Agricultural Machinery Service Professional Cooperative in Shuyang County, Jiangsu Province. Shuyang County mobilized the enthusiasm of various social service organizations, integrated 454 drying equipment, and provided protection for over 1.4 million mu of wheat in the county.
In the past decade of the new era, agricultural socialized service organizations have accelerated the promotion and application of modern agricultural machinery and equipment, advanced applicable technologies, and green production standards, effectively solving the "last mile" of agricultural technology landing.
——New models are constantly emerging, and socialized services are helping to save costs and increase efficiency.
"In the past, relying on oneself, one acre of wheat cost more than 720 yuan, but now entrusted to cooperatives, the cost of one acre per season is 555 yuan." Shi Qishu, a villager from Xiazheng Village, Shahe City, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, calculated, "The cost has decreased, and the quality has also improved."
"We have signed custody service agreements with 56 willing villages, hoping to help the big guys earn more money," said Song Li, the chairman of JinhFulin Agricultural Machinery Service Professional Cooperative in Shahe City.
Various social service organizations cater to the diverse needs of small farmers and develop various service models such as single link, multi link, and full process custody according to local conditions. According to a survey conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, compared to farmers self planting and transferring land for grain cultivation, using the production trust method for grain cultivation has the lowest average cost per mu, the highest yield, and an average increase of over 20% in net income, which has played an important role in improving farmers' enthusiasm for grain cultivation.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that this year, we will continue to deepen the implementation of innovative pilot projects for agricultural socialized services, actively cultivate service subjects, focus on innovating service models, support the expansion of service fields, develop diversified, multi-level, and multi type agricultural socialized services, and provide strong support for accelerating the construction of an agricultural power and accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
