On the 30th, the reporter learned from the Dushanzi Branch of the Highway Management Bureau of Kuitun City, Xinjiang that at 2:30 am on the 30th, a section of the "Internet famous highway" Duku Road in Xinjiang suddenly experienced a mudslide. The buried section of the road was cleared at 7 am this morning and traffic resumed.
Affected by continuous high temperatures and strong convective weather, a mudslide broke out in the early morning on the K645+800-900 section of the Duku Highway G217 under the management of the Dushanzi Branch of the Kuitun Highway Management Bureau, causing a 103 meter long road to be buried.
The Dushanzi Sub bureau immediately activated the emergency response plan and mobilized 9 loaders, excavators, road sweepers, command vehicles, and transportation vehicles, as well as 26 rescue personnel, to quickly participate in the rescue work. During the rescue process, the loaders, excavators, and road sweepers had clear division of labor and coordinated operations. Through four and a half hours of intense and orderly rescue operations by the rescue team, the road debris flow was fully cleared by 7 a.m. According to statistics, more than 2800 cubic meters of debris flows were cleared this time, and 5 mechanical teams were put into operation.
The reporter learned that in order to ensure the safety of passing vehicles, traffic control will be implemented on the section of the Duku Highway during the opening season from 21:00 on the previous day to 7:00 on the next day, that is, vehicles are not allowed to pass at night.
