After being laid off, the top 500 directors are running takeout: their physique and other details are all fake news | supervisor. Nine factions | being laid off
Mr. Du, who is 36 years old this year, said that he used to be the Marketing Director of the Fortune Global 500. When he was laid off by the company, he felt that finding another job with his own experience and resume was not a problem.
But reality gave him a hard blow. Now he starts running takeout and can earn 80-90 yuan a day. "Although it's tiring, it's better than staying at home."
In the video, he said he still hasn't found a matching job after being laid off for a year. "I lowered my salary standard, but I still can't find it."
On August 18th, Mr. Du was interviewed by Jiupai News and talked about his career journey as a food delivery worker.
Dialogue parties:
【1】 When you are under pressure, your body is empty
Jiupai News: Why do you choose to take out?
Mr. Du: It's been almost a year since I left. When I first left, I had a high morale and felt that I could easily find a job based on my resume. However, I encountered many problems later and found that my salary and age did not match.
Slowly, I felt a bit anxious, feeling that I couldn't stay at home all the time and had to move. Staying at home, both economy and energy are being consumed.
Staying at home every day, my figure is a bit shapely, and I think going for a takeout can not only expose me to different positions, but also help me lose weight. I run 30 runs a day, sweat profusely all over my body every day, and my legs are no longer my own.
Nowadays, there is no income at home, and the average daily cost of running takeout is 80-90 yuan, which can still provide subsidies for household expenses. In fact, I have another purpose for delivering takeout. When I go to various office buildings to deliver meals, I can bring my business card to customers, and there may be a boss or HR willing to chat with me.

Mr. Du: No, running takeout is already my bottom line job. When I have no source of income in the future, it will become my way of making money.
Jiupai News: Besides running takeout, have you ever thought of doing anything else?
Mr. Du: Some people think that I have rich experience in marketing and can teach others. I have also considered it, but later I saw many people selling courseware online, and their content was relatively vague, deceiving others to buy courses. So I felt like teaching was a bit of a scam, so I gave up on this idea.
Jiupai News: Can you adapt to the identity of a delivery person? Will there be a sense of difference?
Mr. Du: I don't think we can say we adapted, but we accepted. Because I myself came from the countryside and have suffered a lot.
I completely let go of my previous experience as a director in a large factory, because when you are under pressure, your figure and everything else are empty.
As many friends know, it's normal for life to have ups and downs when I go for takeout. Originally, I climbed up step by step, so there's nothing I can't go back to. I choose to reconcile with myself and start from scratch.
【2】 After experiencing these things, now I feel like it's a hurdle
Jiupai News: Can this job sustain daily expenses?
Mr. Du: I am 36 years old this year, and I am currently unable to support my family's expenses in this job. I will definitely have to take on other part-time jobs in the future.
Jiupai News: What do your family and friends think of you going for takeout?
Mr. Du: My family is still very supportive. They think it's much better for me to go out and earn money than to stay at home.

My friends think that running takeout is a way to experience life, and they think I can't do it for long. But I believe there is no distinction between high and low positions in a profession, and I will also persist in going for takeout.
Jiupai News: What was the reason for being laid off by the company in the first place?
Mr. Du: Because the company needs to save costs, employees like me who have higher costs are definitely the first to take action.
I am currently 36 years old and quite old, like some young people in their twenties who earn less money and have high work efficiency. Of course, the company is willing to hire these people and choose to optimize me.
Jiupai News: Do you think 36 years old is a hurdle for people?
Mr. Du: I used to think it wasn't, but after experiencing these things, now I feel like it's a hurdle.
You see, the employees recruited by Internet companies are basically no more than 35 years old, and many traditional enterprises have the same age requirements. And now resources are scarce, more and more people are competing, and young people cannot find jobs, let alone middle-aged people like us.
Many of my peers around me are facing unemployment, but there are also some friends who are developing well.
Platform rider interface. Jiupai News: Some netizens think that running takeout is hype, what do you think?
Mr. Du: I don't think the comments from those people are important. At my age, I am already very open-minded and do my own thing without the need for others to question it.
