Accelerate the commissioning of major projects
In recent times, many regions have strengthened energy consumption planning, accelerated the construction of power generation projects, and made every effort to ensure the electricity demand for production and daily life during the peak summer season.
As a major electricity consuming province, Guangdong's electricity load is greatly affected by temperature. To avoid power shortages in the summer, multiple power construction projects invested in earlier stages in Guangdong were put into use before the peak electricity demand. On May 31st, the transmission project of the 500 kV Guohua Qingyuan Power Plant was fully completed, which is a key backbone power supply construction project in Guangdong Province for the year. At the same time, five key projects, including the 500 kV Chenghai Power Transmission and Transformation Project and the 500 kV Shanwei Switching Station, were successfully put into operation in May to meet peak summer demand.
Guizhou requires all regions to scientifically carry out water conservation, drought resistance, energy storage and power generation work while ensuring flood control safety. In early May, the Guizhou Provincial Energy Bureau put forward requirements for energy enterprises in their jurisdiction to welcome peak summer weather. On the one hand, they will focus on the normal production and construction of coal mines and fully release coal production capacity; On the other hand, we should focus on fulfilling medium - and long-term contracts for electric coal, fully guarantee the supply of electric coal, complete the tasks of medium - and long-term contracts with high quality and quantity, enhance the calorific value of long-term cooperative electric coal, and strictly supervise the performance of electric coal.
To ensure stable power supply during the peak summer season, the power department of Hubei Province has advanced the deployment of 28 key projects for peak summer, constructing 431.72 kilometers of transmission lines and adding a new substation capacity of 3.16 million kilovolt amperes. Guizhou Power Grid Company strengthens overall scheduling and steadily promotes the transmission of electricity from Guizhou to Guangdong while ensuring the electricity demand within the province.
