Ji Xiangfeng, who had previously served as a member of the Xiamen Municipal Government Party Group, has a clear new position.
According to the WeChat official account of Xiamen Daily on June 20th, the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Xiamen Municipal People's Congress, which has just been held, has passed a vote and decided to appoint Ji Xiangfeng as the Deputy Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People's Government.
Previously, Xiamen TV News reported that on the morning of June 6, the closing ceremony of the sixth "the Belt and Road People to People" student hand in hand activity jointly organized by the China Charity Federation and the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos was held in Xiamen. The report mentioned that Ji Xiangfeng, a member of the municipal government party group, attended the event.
According to the Xiamen Daily on June 20th, on the 19th, the city leaders met with the Party and government delegation of Guyuan City, which mentioned that "Ji Xiangfeng, a member of the Municipal Government Party Group, participated in relevant activities.".
Ji Xiangfeng was born in October 1971 in Pucheng, Fujian. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and graduated from Renmin University of China. He has held positions such as Deputy County Magistrate of Shunchang County and Deputy Mayor of Shaowu City.
In 2012, Ji Xiangfeng, who was then the Deputy Mayor of Shaowu City, stood out in the public selection of young leading cadres in Fujian Province. He later served as a member of the Party Group of the Fujian Provincial Department of Finance and Director of the Agricultural Development Office.
In August 2016, Ji Xiangfeng was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Quanzhou City. In 2019, he was transferred to the position of Standing Committee Member and Secretary General of Quanzhou City Committee. In 2021, he was transferred across cities to become the Deputy Secretary of Putian City Committee.
On May 6th, the Organization Department of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee issued a pre appointment notice for cadres, stating that Ji Xiangfeng intends to serve as the deputy party and government official in Xiamen, marking his new appointment.
Shangguanhui found on the official website of Xiamen Municipal People's Government that the current leadership page of the municipal government displays "one official and seven deputy". Among the deputy mayors, besides Ji Xiangfeng, there are also two "70s generation", namely Liao Huasheng, born in June 1970, and Zhuang Rongliang, born in June 1973.
The other four vice mayors are Huang Xiaozhou, Huang Yantian, Zhang Zhihong, and Chen Yuhuang. It is worth mentioning that Huang Xiaozhou was appointed as the Executive Vice Mayor of Xiamen City in April this year. Li Huiyue, former Executive Vice Mayor of Xiamen, has recently been transferred to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee.
According to the open resume, Huang Xiaozhou was born in May 1964 in Pinghe, Fujian Province. He joined the CPC in September 1991 and started working in October 1989. He has a master's degree in economics and business administration. After graduating from Fujian Normal University with a master's degree in political economy in October 1989, Huang Xiaozhou joined the Political Research Office of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and was transferred to the General Office of Fuzhou Municipal Government two years later.
In 1995, Huang Xiaozhou was transferred to Xiamen and later served for a long time in the Xiamen Planning Commission and Xiamen Development and Reform Commission. In January 2011, he became the Deputy Director of Xiamen Development and Reform Commission. In 2014, he was transferred to the position of District Mayor of Jimei District. At the end of 2015, he was transferred to the position of Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Torch High tech Zone. At the end of 2019, Huang Xiaozhou was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Xiamen City and became a member of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee in November 2021. He later served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Government Party Group, and Deputy Mayor.
Huang Yantian was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Municipal Government in April this year. According to the public resume, Huang Yantian was born in August 1966 in Yongchun, Fujian Province. He graduated from the Department of Finance of Xiamen University, majoring in finance. He joined the CPC in January 1996 and started working in August 1989. He has a bachelor's degree in economics and is an accountant.
He had work experience in the financial system and grassroots towns and streets in his early years. He worked at the Xiamen Finance Bureau and later rooted himself in Tong'an for a long time. He served as the Director of the Tong'an District Finance Bureau, Deputy District Mayor, Standing Committee Member, Executive Deputy District Mayor, and Deputy Secretary of the Tong'an District Committee. In May 2012, he was transferred to the Secretary of the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and a member of the Organization Department of the Municipal Party Committee.
After working for three years at the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Xiamen City, Huang Yantian returned to Tong'an in July 2015. In August 2015, Huang Yantian was elected as the district mayor of Tong'an District and took over as the secretary of the Tong'an District Committee in June 2016. In December 2019, Huang Yantian was appointed as the Deputy Mayor of Xiamen City.
The current mayor of Xiamen is Huang Wenhui, born in June 1964 in Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province. From his resume, Huang Wenhui is a "technology cadre". In 1978, at the age of 14, Huang Wenhui entered the Department of Thermal Energy Engineering at Tsinghua University to study Thermal Energy Engineering. Afterwards, he studied Engineering Thermophysics at the Department of Power Engineering at Huazhong University of Technology and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering.
After graduating from graduate school, 22-year-old Huang Wenhui joined the Fujian Provincial Energy Conservation Technology Service Center, a public institution under the Fujian Provincial Economic and Trade Commission, for nearly 10 years. In November 1996, Huang Wenhui left the public institution and took up a local position, becoming the Deputy Mayor of Fuqing City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou City, responsible for science and technology work.
In October 1998, Huang Wenhui came to work in Xiamen and held various positions including Assistant to the Director and Deputy Director of the Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government and Director of the Office, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Office, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Xiamen Torch High tech Industrial Development Zone.
In May 2015, Huang Wenhui was promoted to the position of Deputy Mayor of Xiamen City, and in October 2016, he became a member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee. Afterwards, he held multiple positions including Standing Committee Member and Secretary General of Xiamen Municipal Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Government Party Group, and Executive Deputy Mayor.
In July 2020, Zhuang Jiahan, then Deputy Secretary of the Xiamen Municipal Party Committee, Mayor, and Party Secretary of the Municipal Government, was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department. In June 2021, Huang Wenhui was appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xiamen Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Municipal Government Party Group, Executive Vice Mayor, and Acting Mayor. At this point, the position that has been vacant for 11 months welcomes a new employee. In January 2022, Huang Wenhui was elected as the Mayor of Xiamen Municipal People's Government.
