About 40% year-on-year growth! Western Land Sea New Channel Reveals Half Year "Transcript" Channel | Land Sea | YoY
Chongqing, July 31 (Xinhua) - As a new international land and sea trade channel jointly developed by western provinces of China and ASEAN countries, the western land and sea new channel of China has shown its latest "performance report" - in the first half of this year, the import and export value of provinces, regions, and cities along the route increased by about 40% year-on-year, showing a strong development momentum.
The Western Land Sea New Corridor operates in Chongqing, China, with key nodes in various western provinces, regions, and cities. It utilizes transportation methods such as railways, sea freight, and highways to travel south through coastal ports such as Guangxi and Yunnan, reaching various parts of the world. This significantly shortens the time required to set sail through the eastern region.

On July 11, four container trucks loaded with pomelo juice, canned pork, dried tofu and other prefabricated vegetables set out from Liangping District, Chongqing, passed through Qinzhou Port, Guangxi, and arrived in Singapore in only five days, which saved about 15 days compared with the logistics time of traditional river sea intermodal routes.
On May 30, 2021, at the factory of Chongqing Hongjiu Fruit Co., Ltd. located in Tsim Chumphon, Thailand, staff were loading durians that were about to be sold to China. Shen Jizhong
"The western land sea new channel effectively solves the international logistics problems in western China. More and more characteristic products such as automotive parts in Liuzhou, Guangxi, cross-border e-commerce products in Chengdu, Sichuan, and goji berry pulp in Ningxia are being developed more quickly along this new channel, allowing western enterprises to integrate more deeply into the global industrial landscape." said Wang Yupei, Chairman of Land Sea New Channel Operation Co., Ltd.
Countries and regions along the "the Belt and Road" are also sharing new development opportunities developed by the new land and sea channel in the west. Southeast Asian specialty products such as glutinous rice from Laos, durian from Thailand, Pasha fish from Vietnam, and bananas from Cambodia have also entered the Chinese market more quickly along the western land sea new channel.

Now, taking the western land sea new channel train can reach the Sichuan Chongqing region as quickly as 4 days."
"Domestically, it drives the opening up and development of the western region; externally, it makes China's development dividends better benefit the people of countries along the line. The new land and sea corridor in the west has become a vivid example of the principle of" the the Belt and Road "to jointly discuss, build and share," said Zhai Kun, a professor at the School of International Relations of Peking University.
