The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement, "Due to a terrorist attack on the airport, the area where planes were parked caught fire. However, the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters. One plane was damaged."
On August 19, the Russian Sputnik News Agency also reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense said that a Ukrainian drone launched an attack on the military airport in Novgorod State at about 10 o'clock Moscow time, which led to a fire. The Ukrainian drone was destroyed with no casualties.
