Jishan, Shanxi responds by abandoning disaster relief materials: ordering rectification
Recently, some online media reported that Jingping Village in Jifeng Town, Jishan County, Shanxi Province had abandoned disaster relief supplies. In response, the local government stated that there is indeed a situation in Jingping Village where donated disaster relief supplies have not been fully distributed yet. According to the response, Jingping Village received a batch of donated materials after being hit by floods in October 2021. In October 2021, after a flood hit Jingping Village in Jishan, the village received donations of disaster relief materials from various sectors of society. Villagers say that some disaster relief supplies have been stored for too long, and multiple bags of flour and instant noodles have been discarded in the mountain valleys.
The director of the Jingping Village Committee responded to this by stating that the discarded donated flour and instant noodles had expired, and "it was not our intention not to send them out.".
