Report on the Treatment of Children with Severe Burns in Qinghai Province in Our Hospital
On June 29, 2023 at 19:55, our emergency medicine department admitted a severely burned child who was transferred from Qinghai University Affiliated Hospital to our hospital. After a rapid assessment, the child was immediately transferred to the pediatric intensive care department for further treatment. At present, the patient's condition is extremely critical and life-threatening. Our hospital attaches great importance to it and has established a hospital level leadership team. We have formed a multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment team and are making every effort to provide treatment. On the morning of May 13th this year at 6 o'clock, Mr. Li's family, who lives in a rural area of Huzhu County, Qinghai Province, suffered an accidental burn incident. Mr. Li's mother mistakenly sprinkled about 5 kilograms of gasoline as diesel into the stove while building a house in the countryside for heating, causing an explosion and a big fire. Mr. Li's wife and three children all have varying degrees of burns. After active rescue efforts, Mr. Li's wife and two children are now out of danger, but the 6-year-old boy, Chen Chen, is still in critical condition.
On the evening of June 29th, a reporter from Red Star News saw at the Jinjiang campus of West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University that the ambulance, guided by the traffic police department, had arrived smoothly and the patient was immediately pushed into the emergency department.
