Biochemical weapons, also known as biological warfare agents, are a collective term for deadly microorganisms, toxins, and other bioactive substances used in military operations to kill people, livestock, and destroy crops. For Chinese people, the shadow left by the infamous "Unit 731" during the Japanese invasion of China still lingers to this day. Tomorrow marks the 78th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti Fascist War. Although World War II has passed, the world is not peaceful. There have been three recent news related to China regarding biological and chemical weapons, which must alert us. On the eve of the trilateral summit held by the leaders of the United States, Japan, and South Korea, the US Department of Defense released the "Biological Defense Situation Review" on August 17, listing China as a key long-term threat. Secondly, recent American politicians have exposed that the United States has collected DNA from Russians and Chinese people for the study of biological and chemical weapons.

Robert Kennedy Jr., who participated in the 2024 presidential election, revealed during a campaign at a restaurant in New York City at the end of July that the United States is collecting DNA from Russians and Chinese people to create race specific biological weapons. In addition, Robert Kennedy Jr. admitted in an interview that there are US biological laboratories in Ukraine used to manufacture prohibited biological weapons. He stated that the United States used CRISPR's new biosynthetic technology and genetic engineering methods, which were unimaginable from the previous generation, in the development of this weapon. He revealed that the Patriot Act of 2001 restarted the arms race in biological laboratories, and the Pentagon began investing heavily in biological weapons. However, they were concerned at the time that violating the Geneva Conventions was a criminal act, so biosafety management was entrusted to the health department.

Robert Kennedy Jr. said that the work of these laboratories was restarted in 2001. Kennedy Robert Jr. also added that vaccines are essential in developing such weapons because they carry a 100% risk and may have the opposite effect as expected.

For the United States, the revelation of Robert Kennedy Jr. clearly weakened its position of denying its research and production of biological and chemical weapons for many years, while Russia's accusation of using Ukraine as a research and production base for biological and chemical weapons by the United States since last year has been strongly supported by political figures from its own country.

Recently, Kirilov, the commander of the Russian Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Forces, held a press conference on US biological military activities. According to Kirilov, the US military is conducting a series of so-called "promising" research on biological weapon viruses and bacteria, including anthrax, rabbit fever, coronavirus, avian influenza, and so on. The documents obtained by the Russian side also indicate that the US Army Infectious Disease Research Institute is directly involved in collecting dangerous pathogens from multiple regions around the world.

In fact, since last year at United Nations conferences, Russia has repeatedly released multiple documents proving that the United States is using dozens of research institutes in Ukraine to conduct research on biological and chemical weapons. However, the attitude of the United States is always arrogantly denied.

For a superpower like the United States, it is accustomed to denying everything and sometimes even imposing its own wrongdoing on others, in order to find a "noble" reason to launch a war against the victims. The most convincing example is the United States launching the Iraq War. At that time, the reason why the United States launched the war was that Iraq possessed large-scale biological and chemical weapons. However, after the war ended, the United States did not obtain any evidence of Iraq's possession of biological and chemical weapons. On the contrary, during the Iraq War, the United States used biological and chemical weapons in Iraq.

Several anti China members of the US Congress recently made no secret of saying that the US provoked the "Ukrainian crisis" and copied the "Ukrainian model" in Taiwan, China, China, in order to fight two "proxy wars" to weaken the power of China and Russia and maintain the US hegemony in the world.

Such questioning is not unfounded.Once the news was disclosed, it caused a huge uproar. The American Association in Taiwan, the US State Department, and multiple departments in Taiwan came out to deny it, claiming that it was "false information".

Although both the US and Taiwan have denied it, the doubts have not been answered.

Firstly, AIT claims that in 1972, the United States was one of the first signatories of the Biological Weapons Convention. The Convention stipulates that signatory countries shall not develop, produce, stockpile, or otherwise acquire or retain biological weapons, including biological agents or toxins of a type and quantity unsuitable for peaceful purposes, as well as weapons, equipment, or means of transportation intended for hostile purposes. But indeed, as stated by AIT, the United States was one of the first signatory countries to the Convention. However, in 2001, the international community had already reached an agreement to establish a verification mechanism for the Convention, but the United States suddenly unilaterally withdrew from the negotiations on the grounds that "verification would harm the security and economic interests of the United States.". Since then, the United States has been opposed to establishing a verification mechanism, resulting in long-term stagnation in negotiations on the verification mechanism of the Convention. May I ask AIT, the United States has been exclusively opposing the establishment of a multilateral verification mechanism under the Convention for 20 years? What secrets are hidden behind the US opposition to verification?

The two heads of the Taiwan administrative department, Su Zhenchang and Chen Jianren, both came out to deny it. The development of biological and chemical weapons in the United States has always been the responsibility of the military, but it is known as "preventive medicine".In response, the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare stated that it did not attend the meeting and claimed that "the relevant media reported that it was fake.". But when the problem arose, Chen Shizhong, former head of Taiwan's Ministry of Health and Welfare, stated that he had attended the hospital meeting at the time but did not remember discussing any issues related to biological agents. The Taiwan administrative agency denied the existence of this meeting, and the current Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare also stated that they did not attend, but former head Chen Shizhong said they did. So, one said they didn't have a meeting, and the other said they attended. Did this coordination meeting actually take place? What secret is hidden behind the denial of the meeting by the Taiwan administrative agency that cannot be revealed?

Thirdly, a retired serviceman from the Institute of Preventive Medicine of the Taiwan Defense Medical College once disclosed that there is a P4 laboratory in the pre hospital, and the Taiwan Army has established the rapid detection capability of biological warfare agents such as smallpox, pestis, anthrax, and botulinum, and also has anti-virus serum. Taiwanese media questioned that the purpose of the defense department's pre medical department's construction of the P4 laboratory is certainly to initiate biological warfare attacks, rather than biological terrorism protection. Establishing such a laboratory in the military means there is no silver of 300 taels in this area, let alone the fact that biological warfare agents have injured our mainland compatriots. "The mainland doesn't even want to attack us anymore, why bother preparing this kind of Yin move yourself?"

Therefore, the United States and Taiwan should not rush to deny it. The best way to clarify is, as Taiwanese media have said, to publicly allow Taiwanese media and "legislators" to investigate.

China has been deeply affected by biological weapons in history and has always advocated for the comprehensive prohibition and thorough destruction of all weapons of mass destruction, including biological weapons. It firmly opposes any country's research and development, possession, or use of biological weapons under any circumstances.

As the country with the most biological military activities in the world, the United States inherited the evil legacy of the invading Japanese Army Unit 731 in its early years, and developed biological weapons based at Fort Detrick. After joining the Convention, the relevant research and development activities of the United States continue and continue to expand. However, the United States has packaged its biological weapons program as a "public health activity.". According to the figures provided by the United States itself, there are 336 biological laboratories in 30 countries.
