According to Israeli Defense Forces and media reports, attacks occurred on the Jewish settlement of Maal Adumin in the West Bank and the southern Hebron region on the 1st, resulting in six Israelis being injured. Two attackers were shot dead by the Israeli army.
Israeli media quoted law enforcement officials as saying that on the afternoon of the 1st, a Palestinian opened fire on a crowd in a square outside a shopping center in Al Adumin. A nearby Israeli police officer rushed to the scene and shot and killed him. The attack resulted in 6 Israelis being injured, of which 2 were severely injured.
The Israeli National Security Agency issued a statement stating that the attacker was a 20-year-old Palestinian man from an Arab town near Al Adumin. The man works as a cleaner in Maale Adumin and has a permit to work in a Jewish settlement. Officials in Al Adumin said that the settlement will prohibit Palestinian workers from entering until further notice.
On the evening of the 1st, the Israeli Defense Forces issued a statement stating that a Palestinian man attempted to attack Israeli soldiers with a knife in the southern Hebron area of the West Bank and was shot dead by the soldiers on the spot.
