20 year old boy found "white lung", use sunscreen spray behind | spray | boy
A few days ago, Li Lin, a 20-year-old boy, used sunscreen spray before going out. He mistakenly inhaled it when spraying it on his face, and then suffered from chest tightness and cough. The symptoms persisted until the next day without improvement, and he hurriedly went to the Third Hospital in Changsha, Hunan Province for treatment.
After examination, the CT scan of Li Lin's lungs showed significant white lesions on both sides, and the report indicated "white lung".
Xiao Haiqing, Deputy Director and Chief Physician of the Radiology and Imaging Department of the Third Hospital of Changsha City, stated that "white lung" generally refers to the manifestation of severe pneumonia on X-ray or CT examination, with a large white state in the patient's lungs. Patients with "white lung" often experience difficulty breathing, respiratory failure, and in severe cases, other organ dysfunction. "White lung" is commonly seen in people with advanced age, weakened immunity, a history of chronic diseases in important organs, and multiple coexisting diseases.
Zhang Xiuping, director of the Radiology and Imaging Department of Changsha Third Hospital, said that in addition to the most common causes of "white lung" such as infection and diffuse alveolar hemorrhage syndrome, inhalation of harmful substances such as dust and spray can also lead to a wide range of white lesions in the lungs. This young patient inhaled some sunscreen products into the lungs due to improper use, resulting in the occurrence of "white lung".
After receiving oxygen therapy, phlegm reduction, and anti infection treatment by emergency doctors, Li Lin's symptoms improved significantly.
Doctors remind the general public that when using sunscreen spray, they should pay attention to the principle of appropriate amount. When spraying, they should cover their mouth and nose as much as possible. It is not recommended to spray directly on the face. Instead, they should spray sunscreen products on their palms, and then apply evenly on their faces. If you experience allergies or other physical discomfort after using sunscreen products, you should immediately stop using them and seek medical attention promptly.
