According to a report by Agence France Presse in Tehran on June 19th, an Iranian intelligence official said that about 20 countries, including the United States and France, participated in the protests sparked by the death of Mahtha Amini in Iran last year.

Mohammad Kazimi, the head of the intelligence department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Iran, said, "The investigation results of the intelligence department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard indicate that approximately 20 countries were involved in the riots."
Iranian official media cited excerpts from an interview with Kazimi, stating that the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Belgium, Italy, and Israel are all involved in inciting protests.
According to reports, many countries he listed have publicly expressed support for protest activities. The United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union have imposed multiple rounds of sanctions on Iran due to its response to the protest movement.
Kazimi also said that French diplomats stationed in Tehran have "collected on-site intelligence on the riots and security forces.".
