17000 people arrived in Zhuozhou, and big data plotted the rescue "acceleration": 24 hours | Zhuozhou | acceleration
CCTV News: Where is Zhuozhou most severely affected by floods and waterlogging? Within 24 hours, 17000 people rushed from other places to Zhuozhou. Where did they come from and where did they go for disaster relief? Let's take a look together using satellite radar data and signaling big data.
The floods in Zhuozhou have touched the hearts of countless people. The rainstorm lasted for three days and three nights, with the precipitation exceeding 400mm. Using radar data obtained from the Gaofen-3 satellite, we extracted the surface waters and transformed the plain hinterland where six rivers once intersected into a vast expanse of land.

After overlaying the population distribution data of each district and county in the satellite map, we found that areas such as Taoyuan Street, Shuangta Street, and Qingliangsi Street were densely populated and severely affected by disasters. This small town with a permanent population of 600000 has been affected by more than 130000 people.
Through mobile signaling, we can see that some trajectories from outside Zhuozhou are particularly prominent.

From August 1st to August 2nd, within almost 24 hours, the small town of Zhuozhou added nearly 17000 out of town mobile phone signals, especially with nearly 10000 people rushing from other provinces to Zhuozhou. We saw in the news that rescue "rebels" from all over the country were rushing towards the hardest hit areas, racing against time.
We found that nearly 80% of the "reverse travelers" come from the surrounding Shandong, Henan, and Beijing, and there are also many people from the farther northwest and southwest regions appearing here. If one side is in difficulty, support from all directions.

In the local mobile signal, we also found such a group of people who are the most active and regular in flow. After algorithm confirmation, they are local couriers and delivery drivers. Starting from July 31st, nearly a hundred young men have traveled to the most dangerous places more than twice a day, staying for more than half an hour each time and shuttling through different streets every day.
Gao Meng, the head of the Taoyuan branch of JD Express in Zhuozhou: They are not familiar with the road conditions on this section of the road, so they dare not cross it. But our usual delivery area is here, and we all know how many manhole covers and large pits there are on that road. We don't have any other ideas, because the express delivery industry is just providing logistical support for the people.

The flood has not yet receded, and mobile phone signals continue to draw the trajectory of people's movements. According to big data calculations, within 72 hours, more than 30000 people arrived here from other places, witnessing the strength of this city and the power of unity.
