15 fires broke out in one place! Nervously extinguishing the Yansong | Forest | Fire
On the 9th, it was learned from the Office of the Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Command of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that multiple lightning forest fires have occurred in northern Inner Mongolia recently, including Arongshan, Mangui, and Genhe. Currently, about 5000 firefighting personnel have been deployed.
Recently, the Greater Khingan Mountains forest area has been experiencing continuous drought and low rainfall, with high temperatures above 35 ℃ and abnormally frequent dry thunderstorm activities.
From 14:50 on August 6th to 11:00 on August 9th, fires broke out successively in Gaodi Forest Farm in Mangui Town and Abei Forest Farm in Alongshan Town, Genhe City, Inner Mongolia. The Daxing'anling Branch of Inner Mongolia Forest Fire Brigade urgently dispatched firefighting and rescue personnel to put out the fire.
Due to the complex terrain at the scene of the fire, with high mountains and steep slopes, dense pine trees, and a thick underground humus layer, it is easy to form underground fires, and the conditions for extinguishing them are extremely difficult.
In view of this situation, the forest fire department in Inner Mongolia has adopted a combination of pre-set barrier and control, large machinery setting up isolation belts, and water fire extinguishing. On the basis of consolidating the results of firefighting on the east and south lines, the focus is on achieving a closed and controlled situation on the north and west lines of the fire scene.
As of the time of the reporter's press release, there have been 15 local fires, of which 10 have been enclosed and 5 are actively being put out. 5000 firefighting and rescue personnel have been deployed in various fire sites, including more than 1300 forest firefighting and rescue personnel in Inner Mongolia.
