144 Quyi Projects Appear at the 2023 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Quyi Week | National | Quyi
Wuhan, June 10th (Xinhua) - The 2023 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Quyi Week opened in Wuhan on the evening of the 9th. The week-long event selects the most representative and excellent Quyi programs, gathering national Quyi masters, and is a concentrated display of the latest achievements in the inheritance, development, and protection of Quyi in China in recent years.
The 2023 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Quyi Week, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Hubei Province, and organized by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department, the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hubei Province, and the People's Government of Wuhan City, features the theme of "Quyi Hui Jiangcheng Rap New Era". Over a thousand performers from 144 national level intangible cultural heritage projects and 209 protected units of Quyi are invited to gather in Jiangcheng to showcase the latest achievements in the inheritance and development of Quyi in recent years.
The opening ceremony performance of that evening was led by six representative inheritors of national intangible cultural heritage, including Liu Lanfang and Zhang Zhiming. From Beijing Pingshu to Guangdong Nanyin New Singing, from Shaanbei Shushu to Suzhou Tanci, through 10 traditional and contemporary Quyi programs, a wonderful Quyi feast was presented to the general public.
To further promote the protection of intangible cultural heritage projects, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has formulated and issued the "Quyi Inheritance and Development Plan", which clarifies the principles, goals, and main tasks of Quyi protection and inheritance in the field of intangible cultural heritage. Holding the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Quyi Week is a specific measure to implement the "Quyi Inheritance and Development Plan", and also a concentrated presentation of the protection achievements of national level intangible cultural heritage projects related to Quyi.
It is understood that the "2023 National Intangible Cultural Heritage Quyi Week" will continue until June 15th. During the event, the organizers will also organize national discussions and exchanges on the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage Quyi, as well as exhibitions on the achievements of the "Quyi Inheritance and Development Plan".
This event fully utilizes public cultural facilities such as theaters and cultural service centers to carry out on-site performances of Quyi, promoting Quyi to enter campuses, communities, and scenic areas, allowing more people to enjoy high-level Quyi performances. The "Quyi Cloud Jiangcheng Show" activity is also held through cloud theaters, cloud interviews, live broadcasts, and other forms, comprehensively presenting the artistic charm of intangible cultural heritage Quyi, making Quyi Week a popular cultural festival for the people, further enhancing the dissemination and influence of Quyi.
