On July 9th, the Ministry of Water Resources issued a flood situation report, stating that from July 6th to 8th, heavy rainfall occurred in the central and eastern parts of Southwest China, Jianghuai, southern parts of Huanghuai, central and southern parts of Northeast China, and southwestern parts of eastern Hubei. Affected by it, 12 rivers in Jiangsu, Liaoning, Guizhou and other areas have experienced floods exceeding the warning level.
The 12 rivers that have experienced floods exceeding the warning level are: the Liuhe section in the lower reaches of the Chuhe River in Jiangsu Province, the Raoyang River, a tributary of the Liaohe River in Liaoning Province, the Xiluo River, Guanyin River, Zhijin River, Shawo River, and the Yousha River, a tributary of the Wujiang River in Guizhou Province, the upper reaches of the Changjiang River in Jiangxi Province, the Allen River, a tributary of the Nenjiang River in Inner Mongolia, the Muling River and its tributaries, the Dashishi River, and the Shalan River, a tributary of the Mudan River in Heilongjiang Province.
In addition, there are 20 stations in Lixia River area and Tongnan area of Jiangsu Province with water level exceeding alarm, and 16 stations in river network area around the Taihu Lake Lake with water level exceeding alarm.
The flood situation report said that on the 9th, moderate to heavy rain was expected in the southern part of the eastern part of southwest China, the northern part of Jiangnan, the western part of Jianghuai River, the southeastern part of northeast China and the southwestern part of eastern Hubei, while rainstorm was expected in parts of Shanghai, southwestern Anhui, eastern Hubei, northwestern Hunan, central and western Guizhou, central Yunnan, and southern Jilin. Rivers such as Lixian River in Yunnan, the lower reaches of Wujiang River in Guizhou, the upper reaches of Lishui River in Hunan and the tributary of Yuanjiang River, Youshui River in Hubei, Xishui Qishui River in Bashui, Anhui, Wan River in Anhui, and Hunjiang River in Liaoning will rise, and some small and medium-sized rivers in the rainstorm area may be over alerted.
The Ministry of Water Resources has activated the main flood season work mechanism, strengthened emergency duty, adhered to daily consultations, carried out monitoring and early warning, and actively deployed defense work. At the same time, the Ministry of Water Resources maintains a Level IV emergency response for flood prevention in nine provinces and cities, including Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Chongqing, and Guizhou. Currently, there are still three working groups on the front line to assist and guide.
