In 1997, the planning, design, and construction of the Xincun Road campus of Jinyuan Senior High School began. In 1999, the new campus was completed and officially put into use. With the rapid development of education in Shanghai and the increasing demand for schools, the overall renovation of the teaching complex building and the improvement of the education and teaching environment in Jinyuan Senior High School are urgent. At the beginning of 2022, with the support of the Putuo District Government and the Putuo District Education Bureau, the reinforcement and educational environment renovation project of the teaching comprehensive building of Jinyuan Senior High School was officially implemented. In this major renovation project, the school closely focuses on the educational goal of "selective education", strengthens the educational function of campus environment and landscape, and highlights the goal of environmental education. The bell tower, cherry blossom square, sunken music square, and other outdoor spaces have transformed into an important part of the campus's informal learning space. They not only provide students with places to rest, play, communicate, display, and explore, but also promote the coordinated development of their cognition and emotions.
