Liu Ziyue, who recently joined a well-known financial company, did not have a bachelor's degree in law and had a weak foundation in law when she first joined Fudan University. Another law master's student, Lin Zhenyu, had already published a paper in her first year of graduate school. At that time, she put forward her own views on the application of the due process principle in the national security review of foreign investment in China and the United States at a reading seminar, which was affirmed and encouraged by Ma Zhongfa; This later published paper played a certain role in winning the national scholarship. Although she later went to study in the UK and only interned for three months after returning to China, her professional level, theoretical foundation, and ability to apply professional knowledge left a deep impression on the interviewer during the law firm interview.

Regarding the employment direction, master's student Wei Yunan once had doubts, and Ma Zhongfa suggested that he try and make mistakes through internships. After experiencing different internship experiences in law firms and courts, he decided to apply for an elective position.
