This summer, teachers from the Putuo "Green Pepper" Volunteer Service Team led autistic children from Qixing School to visit Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World. Since the launch of the "Love Without Hinders · Star Partner Program" volunteer service project in the education system of Putuo District in March this year, volunteers have accompanied children with autism to grow up healthy. The "Star Partner Program" has been non-stop during the summer, providing love and assistance through various forms such as monthly "carefully delivering courses", and delivering tangible care and warmth to children with autism and their families.

At Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World, every theme in the museum is loved by children. In the mysterious and fantastical shark tunnel, the azure sea water surges above the head, fierce sharks shuttle by, rays flapping their wings glide by, and lazy green turtles lie not far away sleeping... The children are fully absorbed in it, applauding and cheering from time to time, not only bringing the distance between the children and the teacher closer, but also learning a lot about marine biology knowledge. The teachers of the volunteer service team hold hands with children with autism and provide them with care. This underwater dialogue with children with autism allows them to get close to nature, experience life, integrate into society, and improve their social skills.

Since March, as volunteers of the "Star Partner Program", teachers have carried out love and assistance actions through various forms such as "carefully delivering courses", "heartwarming delivery activities", and "caring delivery services" every month. With patience, love, and careful tolerance and understanding of these special children, they have launched a two-way emotional healing campaign, calling on more people to pay attention to and support this special group of autistic children through practical actions, making them feel warm and helping them move towards a better future.

Mao Xiangying, a teacher at Shangyang Foreign Language School of Shanghai Foreign Studies University, brought a simulation band course to the children. The child accompanied by the volunteer is an autistic child. When I first met him, his shy and smiling appearance made people very willing to get close to him. His parents poured a lot of love and care into him. During the communication process, Mao Xiangying found that he was very sensitive to sound, and if there was noise around him, he would cover his ears. In the volunteer delivery service, the teacher attempted to enrich his life with music. In the class, he couldn't let go of a small doll brought by the teacher that could perform singing movements and kept shaking the doll. So, the teacher used clapping and other methods to guide him to follow the rhythm and shake the doll, trying to hum some simple melodies. During this process, the teachers felt his joy and love for music. "To ensure that every child can receive a suitable education, as a 'Green Pepper' volunteer, every delivery and companionship may be ordinary, but as long as you have enthusiasm and love, and inspire the power of the faint light, it will eventually converge into a dazzling light." Mao Xiangying said.

Teacher Lu Yunqin from Jiangning School brought physical education courses to Xiaohao, a child with autism. Xiaohao is not tall and has a quiet and shy personality. He usually doesn't speak much, but when he encounters something he likes, he will speak loudly. In the previous volunteer activity, the teacher learned that he likes anime characters, so he brought a basketball to interact with him. He had just received the basketball and instantly felt like a different person, skillfully dribbling the ball. Surprisingly, his shooting percentage was very high, and volunteers started playing shooting games with him. Although he doesn't speak, he can fully understand the rules of the game. Lu Yunqin said, "Our arrival brought him joy, and at the same time, we were healed by his bright and innocent smile, experiencing a different kind of beauty in life."

This year, Putuo District has gathered a "Green Pepper" volunteer service team consisting of 102 new era Putuo Education "Future Star" trainees, paired with 35 autistic children from Qixing School, established long-term assistance relationships, and became sincere partners to accompany special children's growth. To further assist children with autism and practice the love of teachers, hundreds of Putuo "Green Pepper" volunteers also participated in the charity sale and offered their love. The charity sale is also a characteristic activity of the "Warm Heart Delivery Activity" in the volunteer service project of the "Star Partner Program". Volunteers engage in heartwarming reading and use stories to inspire their minds; Inspire children's imagination through joyful origami and clever thinking; In outdoor sports, sweat and open your heart; By simulating band courses, make music warm to the heart; Accompanying children in painting, enhancing confidence through creativity; Through scientific exploration with children and using creative ideas to create their own world through building blocks, teachers practice the spirit of voluntary service of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress" through actions.
