Olympic diving champion Wu Minxia takes her children to check in at the sports stadium and approach the path of becoming champions: to have the courage to pursue a dream woman | Sports | Champion
August 8th this year is the 15th "National Fitness Day" in China, and this week is also the first "Sports Promotion Week" specified in the newly revised Sports Law. To promote the culture of Shanghai style sports and encourage young people to actively participate in sports, today, the second season of "Champion takes you on a camping trip" activity kicked off at the Oriental Sports Center of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. Chinese women's diving Olympic champion Wu Minxia took the children to check in to the gymnasium, explore the environmental protection technology of the venue, and experience the unique charm of Shanghai style sports culture.
The children visited the three main buildings of the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Oriental Sports Center - "Moonlight Bay", "Sea Crown", and "Yulan Bridge". The semi open outdoor jumping pool is a major highlight of "Moonlight Bay", and the "half moon" design allows viewers to enjoy the entire Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Oriental Sports Center and the scenery on both sides of the Pujiang River from different perspectives from the seats. Under the guidance of the tour guide, the children learned that "Sea Crown" is currently one of the most seated indoor sports venues in Shanghai. The competition venue in the center of the venue can be built according to different competition requirements, meeting the functional needs of various special and comprehensive events. As soon as the children walked into the indoor swimming pool "Yulan Bridge", they felt the comfortable constant temperature inside. The pool water adopts internationally advanced diatomaceous earth technology, which enables the water quality to meet the standards of drinking water, which is why the pool water can be so clear and transparent blue.
Wu Minxia gave a unique and immersive lecture by the diving pool, taking everyone closer to her path to becoming a champion. Wu Minxia, who had excellent physical fitness since childhood, coincidentally chose the latter in dancing and diving. With her own efforts and persistence in her dreams, she was successfully selected for the national team. With her perseverance and spirit of "putting in all her strength to persevere until the end", she repeatedly overcame injuries and ultimately achieved her goal of a Grand Slam, becoming the Olympic five time champion with 7 Olympic medals, making her the first person in Chinese Olympic history. Wu Minxia encourages children to courageously pursue their dreams, not to be afraid of difficulties and obstacles, and also to participate in more sports to strengthen their bodies and have a strong physique.
In August last year, under the guidance of the Shanghai Sports Bureau, the first season of "Champion takes you on a camping trip" organized by the China Welfare Association kicked off at the Shanghai Sports Museum. Olympic women's team cycling champion Zhong Angel arrived at the first season of the "Champion takes you camping" event and checked in with the children at the Shanghai Sports Museum to experience the charm of sports together. She shared her growth story and understanding of sportsmanship with the children, and encouraged them to actively participate in sports to hone their willpower. In the future, whether in sports or in the pursuit of dreams, they should not be afraid of difficulties and strive tirelessly. The second season of this year's "Champion takes you on a camping trip" event will invite sports champions in Shanghai to lead teenagers to check in at Shanghai sports venues, immerse themselves in the charm of sports, and spread the spirit of hard work, self-improvement, and never give up through the words and deeds of sports champions. The "Champion takes you on a camping trip" event is co organized by Shanghai Jiushi Sports Industry Development Co., Ltd. and organized by China Welfare Association School and other organizations.
