At the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference that opened today, Shanghai based enterprise Fourier Intelligence released its self-developed universal humanoid robot GR-1. Through the open robot SDK and software development interface, it invited artificial intelligence and robot development teams from domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, and enterprises to cooperate with it, implanting an AI large model "brain" into GR-1 and endowing it with more functions. "This universal humanoid robot has strong mobility and a well-developed 'cerebellum'. With the AI 'brain', it is expected to achieve embodied intelligence," said Gu Jie, Chairman and CEO of Fourier Intelligence.
Developing universal robots is a corporate dream
GR-1 is black in color, with hands and feet, and a torso configuration close to the human body. It is 1.65 meters tall and weighs 55 kilograms, similar to a slender adult female. It has strong flexibility, with 40 degrees of freedom throughout the body, which means it has 40 electric joints, and the peak torque of the maximum joint module reaches 300 Newton meters.
