Chen Quan, one of the first batch of Chinese astronauts, walked into the Putuo Experimental School affiliated with Shanghai Foreign Studies University and gave a special first lesson to first-year students. The students immersed themselves in the first lesson of aviation and aerospace science popularization, planting the seeds of science in their hearts from a young age.
From the selection of astronauts to the training story, Chen Quan used his personal experience to tell how astronauts were trained, and also inspired his classmates to practice their skills hard and serve their country in the future. Starting next week, third grade students will be able to receive their initial experience of aerospace courses in the science classroom. As a member school of Jinyuan Middle School Education Group, high-quality resources such as science classrooms and aerospace courses here will be shared with students from surrounding schools. In the future, the school will integrate internal and external resources, introduce a scientific and technological innovation education system that integrates aerospace engineering, satellite education, robotics technology, and artificial intelligence technology with aerospace as the main line, invite university professors and aerospace technology personnel from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to enter the campus and classroom, introduce cutting-edge science, and continuously empower modern small citizens who cultivate a "Chinese heart, global eye, and scientific model". Today, Nanyang Middle School and Nanyang Junior High School held the new semester opening ceremony at the first batch of "Great Ideological and Political Courses" practical teaching bases in China - the Longhua Martyrs Cemetery in Shanghai. All teachers and students of the school crossed geographical and spatial limitations and jointly started the first lesson of the new semester through live broadcasting. Under the guidance of the tour guide at the Longhua Martyrs Cemetery, the students experienced an immersive first class and learned about the spirit of heroism. The situational drama "Soul of Longhua - The Taste of Truth is a bit Sweet" depicts the story of Chen Wangdao, who forgot to sleep and eat while translating the Communist Manifesto, mistakenly eating ink as sugar water. On the first day of school, Ni Qiheng, a 2022 graduate, is currently studying at Shanghai Middle School at the Affiliated Foreign Language Experimental School of East China Normal University.
