Compared to the impressive performance of Chinese enterprises in terms of scale, the number of universities in mainland China has increased by 28 compared to last year, surpassing the United States for the first time in history in the thousand school ranking based on six academic indicators: alumni awards, teacher awards, highly cited scientists, papers from Nature and Science, international papers, and average teacher performance.
