On the evening of May 13, the 2024 Shanghai Jing'an Modern Drama Valley "One Drama Awards" awards ceremony was held at the FANCL Art Center Small Theater. The 14 awards were announced one by one, and the 2024 Shanghai Jing'an Modern Drama Valley also came to a successful conclusion.
"One Drama Awards": Fourteen awards announced
This year's "One Drama Awards" received a total of 155 applications for plays, with more than 600 applications for awards, setting a new record for the number of applications in previous years.
The participating plays show a trend of being young and diversified. In addition to dramas, the performance types also include operas, musicals, children's plays, dance theaters, immersive performances, etc., reflecting the broad influence and appeal of the "One Drama Awards" .
On May 11, drama director Wang Xiaoying, Director of the Drama Research Institute of the China Academy of Arts Song Baozhen, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Institute of Arts Wang Wei, national first-level screenwriter Wang Baoshe, national first-level director Liu Wenguo, and famous literary critic Mao Shi'an , a jury composed of actress Jiao Yuan from Hong Kong, China, reviewed more than 20 dramas shortlisted for the nominations and produced the annual list of major awards.

The new mechanism of "Repertoire Subsidy Performance Reward" launched by the Jing'an District People's Government has become an important measure to attract outstanding plays to participate in Jing'an Drama Valley and participate in the popularization of Jing'an public welfare art. According to statistics, there were 104 performances of 24 plays in the annual "Famous Drama Show". A total of more than 50,000 people purchased tickets to watch the performances in the theater. The first Jing'an Music Festival held a total of 50 performances over six days, with more than 200 domestic and foreign artists performing on stage, boosting passenger flow in Jing'an business district by nearly 20% year-on-year.
The Jing'an Coffee Culture Festival offline market set up in HKRI Taikoo Hui brings together international chains and domestic specialty coffee brands. The main venue of HKRI Taikoo Hui, as well as the branch venues of CITIC Plaza and Daning Music Plaza, have accumulated sales of nearly 3 million yuan. During the Jing'an Coffee Culture Festival, a total of 150,000 coffee consumption coupons were distributed to citizens, driving nearly 3 million yuan in consumption in coffee stores.
It is estimated that more than 3 million people participated in the activities during the three festivals, and consumption in related business districts increased by 16% year-on-year.
