Following the footsteps of General Secretary's inspection, I have gained insights into the changes of the Sichuan Road that have lasted for thousands of years, bringing profound insights to people.
The towering Qinling Mountains are stacked with peaks, marking the geographical boundary between the north and south of China. The Guanzhong Plain and the Sichuan Basin are separated on both sides. As of the end of 2022, the number of channels for Sichuan to enter and exit Sichuan University has increased to 41, with 9179 kilometers of expressways, over 5800 kilometers of railway operation, 1390 kilometers of high-speed rail operation, 558 kilometers of urban rail transit operation, and 16 civil transportation airports.
Spreading the map, a well connected transportation network is presented in front of people: heading north, the Xicheng high-speed railway almost runs in a straight line through the Qinba Mountains, completely opening up the high-speed railway line heading north in the Sichuan Basin, connecting it to the national high-speed railway network; To the south, the Chengdu Guiyang high-speed railway and the Chengdu Kunming double track directly enter the the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, opening a new chapter in the connectivity of Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan; To the west, the Yakang Expressway and Wenma Expressway break through the Hengduan Mountains, paving a new smooth road to the snowy plateau; To the east, the Chongqing Chengdu Expressway and the Chengdu Chongqing High Speed Railway have strengthened the public railway network, making the transportation framework of the Chengdu Chongqing Economic Circle more resilient; Upward, Tianfu International Airport flaunts its wings and soars high, while Chengdu's dual airport air corridors reach the world smoothly
The transformation of roads from "difficult Sichuan roads" to "smooth Sichuan roads" reflects the great changes in regional development and the new era.Following the direction guided by General Secretary, Sichuan has firm confidence, overcome difficulties, and bravely move forward on the path of high-quality development.
The current "New Sichuan Road" is not only a convenient and accessible transportation route, but also a happy path for the hardworking and prosperous people of Bashu. Thanks to the opening of the Yakang Expressway, the number of tourists received and the comprehensive tourism revenue in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture have significantly increased. With the opening of Abuluoha Village in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, the last established village in the country that has the conditions to access hardened roads, villagers have built new houses, children have new classrooms, and specialty agricultural products such as Sichuan pepper and honey can also be shipped out of the village by express delivery. Roads and railways connect the happy lives of every Sichuan person. Because there is a road under our feet, dreams are no longer far away, and everything is possible.
The current "New Sichuan Road" is also a win-win path for opening up cooperation and connecting the world. Along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the new land and sea corridor, the "the Belt and Road" and other places in Bashu, once "48000 years old, not connected with Qin and Sai", are now embracing the world with confidence. In the past five years, the import and export scale of Sichuan has increased from 460 billion yuan to 1007.7 billion yuan, with foreign direct investment ranking first in the central and western regions. The average number of China Europe freight trains operating over the past five years accounts for 33% of the country's total, with a total of 1482 trains operating on the western land sea new channel. On July 28th, the 31st Summer Universiade will open in Chengdu. The people of Sichuan warmly welcome visitors from all over the world and will dedicate a simple, safe, and exciting sports event to the world.
