"I hope everyone can 'observe the universe' in South Africa."

China is a staunch advocate and important contributor to SKA, and SKA is also a key science and technology cooperation project between China and South Korea. In the development of the project in South Africa, the Chinese side has almost participated in the construction of all important nodes and manufactured the first antenna prototype for the project.

Wang Jingying, a young researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Observatory, has been engaged in post doctoral research in South Africa for many years. She found that the Cape area has become "hot" in recent years - astronomers from all over the world have come here to "Zhazhai".

"The square kilometer array radio telescope will become the world's largest and most efficient astronomical telescope, which is the focus of the international astronomical community," said Wang Jingying.

Wang Jingying has participated in research on SKA and its leading projects in South Africa. She said that South African scientists have highly praised the "Chinese Eye" and Chinese scientists, and Dr. Fernando Camillo, Chief Scientist of the South African Radio Observatory, has repeatedly expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation with the "Chinese Eye". When leaving South Africa, Wang Jingying's teachers and colleagues sent her an email expressing their expectation of continuing communication with Chinese scientists.

"The cooperation between China and South Africa in radio astronomy has broad prospects. I often encourage students to learn about and join SKA projects to 'observe the universe' together in South Africa," said Wang Jingying.

Every week, he would study Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion with his classmates. Hu Zijing, a teacher of acupuncture and moxibustion, and Fu Jianren came to South Africa in 2012 to open a clinic and teach acupuncture and moxibustion for more than 10 years.

At the southernmost end of the African continent, acupuncture and moxibustion and cupping have long been "ring powder" countless. In 2000, Chinese medicine acupuncture and moxibustion gained legal status in South Africa. Last year, there were only 58 students enrolled in acupuncture and moxibustion at the University of Johannesburg, but there were more than 7000 applicants.

Traditional Chinese medicine is vast and profound, how can South African students understand it? Hu Zijing gave an example: "When it comes to physical fitness and dietary habits, I compare physical fitness to plants. Plants have different habits, and those that are suitable for indoor growth cannot be raised outdoors, and the human body is the same." After a semester of classes, many South African students have become "health experts" and started to pay attention to healthy eating.

She not only teaches in the school, but also sits in the clinic, which makes Hu Zijing feel very successful: "Now there are more than 200 legally registered Chinese medicine and acupuncture and moxibustion physicians in South Africa. Chinese medicine is taking root and bearing fruit in South Africa!"

In May 2019, several teachers from Durban Institute of Technology in South Africa came to Tianjin Vocational University. "By establishing training centers and providing advanced teaching equipment in the local area, the Luban Workshop can serve as a platform for young people in the host country to improve their technical skills. South African teachers have praised our Luban Workshop and particularly proposed to establish a 3D printing major in South Africa." said Li Xiaohui, Director of the Internet of Things Application Technology program at the School of Electronic Information Engineering at Tianjin Vocational University.

At the end of 2019, the Luban Workshop in South Africa was officially unveiled at the Durban Institute of Technology, with the first phase offering majors in Internet of Things and Additive Manufacturing.
