In order to timely understand the safety of the villagers there, party members and cadres of the Jiulong Town government crossed mountains and ridges to advance into the lost villages.
On the late night of July 31st, under continuous heavy rainfall, transportation and communication were interrupted one kilometer away from the Kowloon Town Government, and 18 remote villages in the northern mountainous area lost contact. In order to timely understand the safety of all the villagers there, in the early morning of August 1st, party members and cadres from Jiulong Town marched into the lost village. Yang Chuncheng, the deputy secretary of the town discipline inspection commission with 36 years of party experience, and Jing Jianfeng, the director of the town police station, are responsible for contacting the most remote villages. The two of them waded through the accumulated water for over three hours and arrived at the first village to be explored, Luogutai. After confirming the personal safety of all the villagers, they immediately brought paper and pen, wrote a letter to report the situation back to the town, and then rushed to the next village.
