On the afternoon of July 5, General Secretary Xi Jinping, who visited Jiangsu Province, came to the Suzhou Industrial Park Exhibition Center for the first stop to learn about the construction and development of the high-tech park.
Suzhou Industrial Park was established in 1994 with the approval of the State Council and is an important cooperation project between the governments of China and Singapore. Over the past 29 years, the park has accumulated more than 1 trillion yuan of fixed assets investment and nearly 1.5 trillion dollars of total imports and exports. Now it has 2489 national high-tech enterprises and 62 listed enterprises, creating a successful example of "drawing a blueprint to the end".
Nowadays, the park is bravely moving towards "world-class" and creating a new blueprint for high-tech parks. The arrival of General Secretary has boosted confidence and pointed out the direction for the development of Suzhou Industrial Park.
"To build Suzhou into an innovation city led by innovation clusters, with advanced industries gathering, vibrant enterprises, and a gathering of top talents."
"Accelerate the construction of world-class high-tech parks that are open and innovative, promote high-quality development, continue to be a pilot field of reform and opening up, and strive to become an important window to show Chinese path to modernization."
