"As a city in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, it is necessary to strengthen the responsibility of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is not allowed to 'open black shops' and discharge sewage along the river. It is necessary to try every means to protect the water quality of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and benefit the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the entire basin." The General Secretary stressed this during his inspection.

On June 6 this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to the state-owned Xinhua Forest Farm in Linhe District, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to learn about the construction of the "Three Norths" shelterbelt system.

At Xinhua Forest Farm, the person in charge pointed to the piles of small particles in the sand and said, "This is called 'bitter beans'. As soon as the old farmer saw it, he knew that the sand was becoming soil. In the future, he could plant crops here."

In May of this year, on the eve of the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi'an, General Secretary Xi Jinping listened specifically to the work reports of the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, emphasizing "promoting the green transformation of the energy industry and actively and steadily promoting carbon neutrality".

Previously, the General Secretary visited Yulin Chemical Co., Ltd. of the State Energy Group in Shaanxi to understand the planning, construction, and operation of the circular economy coal comprehensive utilization project. "The development of coal energy needs to be transformed and upgraded, taking the path of green and low-carbon development. China strives to peak its carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. This solemn commitment means that as the world's largest developing country, China will achieve the highest global carbon emission intensity reduction and achieve carbon neutrality in the shortest time in global history, which is not an easy task.

Building the world's largest clean power generation system, establishing the carbon market with the largest global coverage of greenhouse gas emissions, and becoming the country with the most active layout of environmental technology innovation in the world...
