At today's policy briefing held by the State Council Information Office, relevant officials from the Ministry of Commerce stated that the next step will be to boost bulk consumption, expand service consumption, cultivate new types of consumption, and further drive economic growth.
Xu Xingfeng, Director of the Market Operation and Consumption Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that in boosting bulk consumption, the focus should be on automobile consumption. The Ministry of Commerce will focus on three aspects: new cars, used cars, and the aftermarket. In terms of new cars, the Ministry of Commerce will collaborate with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments to organize activities such as the Hundred Cities Linkage Automobile Festival and the New Energy Vehicles Going to Countryside in Thousand Counties and Ten Thousand Towns. In terms of second-hand cars, by connecting departmental data and breaking down information silos, ordinary people can buy second-hand cars with the same level of confidence as buying new cars, solving the problem of opaque vehicle condition information. In terms of the aftermarket, by developing automotive events and RV camping, we aim to unleash the potential of nearly a trillion yuan in the automotive aftermarket.

We will guide enterprises to explore in this area and better meet the people's needs for quality home living.
In terms of expanding service consumption, Xu Xingfeng pointed out that in the first half of this year, catering had the most impressive growth rate among all categories of consumption, reaching 21.4%. The Ministry of Commerce will continue to carry out food and beverage promotion activities such as the ten city linkage sharing of delicious food and drinks, and the Chinese Food Festival to guide various regions in building food and beverage consumption brands. At the same time, policies will be introduced to promote the high-quality development of the catering industry and accelerate the digital empowerment of life services, injecting new momentum into the development of the catering industry.
